The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, and I absolutely loved the decor details - from "drying" clothes, to vintage car plate drinks menu, to ridiculously posh lady's bathroom. Food however was pretty average, I would highly recommend going there for drinks and live music though!

The food was average, portions were quite small. I would say that for this money i have excpected more. Service was ok.

This place was ok, the service was nice, the food was also good. There was a live band, the music was a bit loud.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The band were great and the band leader is a real character - he asked the nationality of each new party as they were seated and when I said I was from the UK gave me a quick...rendition of Amy Winehouse! Welcoming atmosphere for a solo female traveller and a very quirky place. Check out the ladies loo too!More

What a great place,,,unique interior, imaginative use of instruments in decor..Van Van is one of the best restaurants in Havana. Food was very good,..I had ropa vieja, my favorite, while my guest had a lobster dish which he described as delicious, very nicely served. Our...waitress, Mery, was very helpful in describing the dishes and was very efficient in getting the food to our table in a tomely manner. I found out she worked at one of the top resorts in Cayo coco so I had no concerns about her service.More

First the good thing: the band is awesome, very good animation and good Mojitos, very heavy on alcohol, which I loved. Now all the not right, prices makes you thing is top cuisine, but it's not, it's normal food with expensive prices. The cocktails are...bad, with the exception of the mojito. The attention was very attentive the first 20 minutes, but after that something happened with the girl that was serving us, and we ended up asking for our own bill at the bar. I would go back just for the band and one mojito.More

Really not sure why everyone says this place is good. It was well below average. We had the croquettes which were hard and the bruschetta which tasted several days old. :(

The Van Van is a typical cuban restaurant / bar with live music and a good menu. I've had the typical dish "Roja viaja" which means "torn dress". It looks and tastes like pulled beef and is just yummie!

This was the best dinner we had in Havana. Food was delicious, the atmosphere was great and the staff was super nice (especially the bartender). Prices are average, but the food is worth it. The mojitos and pina coladas are strong and super delicious.

It is in Old Havana. We walked here from the cruise terminal in less than 10 minutes. It was delicious!
