just next door of A pizza shop Heredia, almost missed it. The restaurant is small one with four tables in the first floor. (several tables upstairs)we tried shredded beef with black bean rice and also fish . we were so glad to have fried vegetables....all these food are so fit for our Chinese stomach . especially their black bean is not mixed with rice, little bit like bean paste, though little bit salty , yummy !More

It's the second time I go and they close early. The sign in the door says they close at 11 pm, this picture was taken at 10:31. I wave at the girl inside and she completely ignored me.

I returned for breakfast the second day after having such good service on my first visit. They were actually able to accomplish frying my eggs on both sides, which is normally very hard for me to convey in English for some reason.

We stayed just around the corner in La Teresa palace and the staff recommended this restaurant. The food is just a delight, this is by far the best food we ate in La Habana. We had the fish balls, with shrimp coctail... not the baby...shirmp that we were experiencing in other local restaurants. I ordered the falay magnon with mushoom and sweet plantaines ....it was such a treat with a bootle of red wine. We went back a second night and enjoyed as well. Would highly recommend this restaurantMore

La Fondita de Heredia is an incredible restaurant, we ate here for lunch and dinner during our Cuba trip and the food, cocktails and service were incredible each time. Highly recommend.

We were advised by our B&B to eat here. The food is good. I recommend the roasted chicken and shredded beef. The caramel flan was a nice treat. Two can dine here for about $25 CUC. The restaurant has nice cold a/c which is a...nice bonus.More

First off, this place owes me ONE Red Bull. I ordered 3 but got charged for 4. Dinner for 6 worked out to be $13 CUC per person and we ordered a LOT of food. I had the pork (chunks) and it was as good...as what my mother makes. This place is not in any of the 4 tourist districts. This is also why the prices were so reasonable. It's all locals in this place. This would so IF you want to leave the tourist areas and mingle with ONLY the locals, then spend the $10 and taxi to this area and wonder around after dinner.More

On a recommendation from a local, went for dinner then back again for lunch the next day since we were staying nearby. When I find a place with options that are not typical, I want to go back. It's small (8 tables?), very limited menu...but both dishes were so good. Pretty good service too. Atmosphere excellent. The owners put a lot into making it nice. Prices a bit higher but still highly recommend. Location is not close to much though. Worth a taxi ride if you are looking for a good meal.More

It was my husbands birthdays dinner and we made the mistake of going to this place. It was a recommendation from the owner of the particular house we stayed in Havana. We are Cuban nationals, but have been living overseas for a while now. I...know my country and l had not over the top expectations. The restaurant’s menu is decent if not great, and the venue looks clean and modern. So why the one star? Awful service or lack of it. We were charged a mandatory 10% service fee and received not service at all. Not a “good evening” or a “thank you”. The waitresses spent the night staring at us in a less than friendly way. It was creepy. It was uncomfortable. We were paying the same price as everyone else, why the discrimination? We are used to go to restaurants in Havana and get great costumer services, had never experienced anything like this before. It was sad and unfortunate we choose this place for an special event. Thankfully the following evening we visited Villa Hernandez and recovered from the experience.More

Awesome place, great food and service! Michel’s cocktails: the best!!! I had a sangria and it was delicious. There is great variety of food on the menu to please all tastes and cravings. I had a “emperador fish” filete which comes with a blue cheese...sauce that is amazing. I certainly will come back and if you really want to spend a good time, eat excellent food and have the best experience this is your place to go.More
