In 2014 my family was put off by the prices. Food was great and setting was nice. This time was different. Food quality and choices were much better. Service was excellent. And, prices were a little better than other high end restaurants. It Rains Fishes...More

We have visited Bonaire several times within the past 10 years and which was once one of our favorite eating spots has sadly become our least desired one. We recently read they are under new ownership. The decor and location is amazing but the food...More

The way restaurants turn over on Bonaire, it's great to see an old stand=by that doesn't lose its step. IRF is not the oldest restaurant in K-Town, but it remains a steady competitor for the dinner dollar. The food is excellent, the prices moderate by...More

Laid back kind of place. Good staff, lovely shaded terrace (seaview). Outstanding fish (claro). Too bad lobster was out of season otherwise I would have eaten that too. Now marinated halibut, and grilled red snapper. A must eat kind of place

We spent the afternoon fishing with Yuri and caught a barracuda. It rains fishes cooked the fish for us beautifully. They have a great wine list and the gentleman serving us was very friendly.

We’ve been coming here for years & this has been our favorite in the past. The tuna ceviche tasted like it was made w canned tuna & portions were small. Atmosphere & service are still great.

Celebrated our anniversary here, and were so thrilled with everything single detail. Shared the Ahi Tuna appetizer, both had the Mahi Mahi special of the day, and it was fabulous! Our server was great to chat with, and provided some local info we appreciated. (Lionfish...More

I enjoyed the catch of the day, which featured small portions of barracuda, red snapper, and rainbowfish. The red snapper was the best of the three. When I was there, the restaurant was taken over by Pasta e Basta, an Amsterdam Restaurant which features singing...More

I've never been there at Christmastimes But the restaurant closes on Sundays, and my guess is they would do so on 12/25. If you were planning on a nice dinner out on Christmas Sunday, I'd suggest sending some... More

Description
It Rains Fishes is a modern restaurant with a beautiful view over the Caribbean Sea and ideally located on the boulevard in the center of Kralendijk. Since October 2017 owners Huub de Groot and Shaina Offerman have completely renovated the restaurant, with a new kitchen, stylish decor and renewed menu. It Rains Fishes actually consists of three parts, the restaurant section, the Chef’s Table and a lounge setting where you can enjoy the view while enjoying a drink, wine or tropical cocktail. Fresh fish Fishing is still a big part of Bonairian culture. There are a few fishing boats in front of It Rains Fishes that depart almost daily in the early morning to go fishing. The catch for the restaurant is cleaned immediately after returning. Depending on the daily catch, many of these fish can be found on the menu. Apart from locally caught fish, fresh fish is also flown in from countries such as the Netherlands, America and Canada.
