Get out of Kralendjik and visit Rincon. The owner at Le-Ma-Se is very nice and serves excellent ice cream and shares. The place is relaxing and a great stop while visiting the island.

Went there the first day when a arrived on Aruba. You know, time for a snack.. See the sign welcom and stopped. Norman is a real Bonairian and proud of it. Not to mention his soup. Ordered a pastry and he offered us to try his soup. Best soup I ever eaten! For al information about Bonaire or Rincon, ask... More

Ok, you've been diving the north shore (Thousand Steps, Karpata) and are now driving through Rincon to get back 'home'. Stop by Le-Ma-Se for the perfect milkshake and support a local business. We've enjoyed the milkshakes here for many years now. The owner is super friendly!

Stopped in on a hot Saturday afternoon. Had some cheese and beef pastiche and a cold beer. Fantastic local food - then Normen brought out some of his world famous squash soup. It is amazing - we wound up with a quart "to go". Never even made it half way back to town. Beware - the cat doesn't like you......... More

We met Norman who was so sweet and asked us to visit his store in Rinchon. We decided we would. We asked for his home made ice cream. He asked if we would try his soup. Why not? It was so delish...it is not a fancy place but you will feel good meeting Norman, a true local. Don't be rushed... More

This is a very casual place, that hardly looks open from the street. Don't let that stop you, park on the right side and go in. The menu as posted is the starting point for a conversation with Norman, who is very fun to talk to. Typically ingredients for this or that are missing, so just ask him what's available... More

Stop in and have some ice cream with Norman. Don't be in a hurry. I'm pretty sure he leaves to go by it at the store after you order. You can easily spend an hour talking to Norman about local politics and issues. At least I think that's what we were discussing. There's a bit of a language barrier. This... More

The man, the myth, the leg-end. For divers of the north, once you get on the one way system you have to pass thru Rincon. If you are in need of a snack (or Norman's famous "divers energy" squash soup) stop by for a unique experience you will not forget anytime soon.

We drove by to see if it was open. Being Sunday it was closed but Norman the owner saw us and waved us in. He opened the shop so we could enjoy some ice cream after our sight seeing. Norman was so accommodating even sending us away with some of squash soup! He also gave us an impromptu history with... More
