Cactus Blue also known as Cactus Blue Bonaire and as Cactus Blue on the Beach: a cosy little food truck located at divesite #37 (Corporal Meiss) at "Donkey Beach" offering great Beefburgers, Chicken & Veggie-wraps, Lionfishburgers and ice-cold drinks. Donkey beach is located directly underneath the approach-route for planes at the landingstrip of the airport. The owner - Thamara - will serve you with a smile. She starts cooking from around 11 am till 3.00 pm. Monday thru Friday during high season. Made my husbands top 5 burgers.

The food was awesome and they are so friendly. When we got to the island there was no power. We came up to the food truck as they were closing and stayed open for us!! I tried the lion fish from a friend’s sandwich. It...was good. My husband and I hate the kite burger and it made his top 5. That’s a big deal. I would go back for sure.More

Picky eater mauls burger !

My wife is the pickiest eater on planet earth and typically orders a plain hamburger when she has one. When I say “plain”, I mean bun, meat and ketchup. So it’s tuff to disguise a bad hamburger without toppings, cheese, etc. To watch her devour...this burger is a real compliment. I rarely see her do this. She actually said she could eat a second one. Great food!

Great food in a good location! We stopped on our way to a dive at Salt Pier. I had the Lionfish “burger” and my partner had the Kite burger. Both were cooked perfectly and were deliscious. We also tried the fresh fruit juices, where were...also great. I highly recommend stopping here for a great meal, just don’t forget to bring your $$ because they only take cash. Enjoy!More

The Ultimate Island Street Food

Bar none, the tastiest burgers we have ever had. We visited them on a prior trip and we’re pleased to see they’re still here. My wife enjoyed the Lionfish Burger. I was only allowed a tiny bite before she finished off, but that tiny bite...was amazing. I had the Cactus Burger. It is not for the faint of heart. This burger is for quite the appetite. The patties were perfectly cooked to a medium rare to medium. The toppings were fresh, and spinach in place of lettuce is a great touch. This is definitely a must-try for anyone visiting Bonaire. You will not be disappointed, but remember to bring cash as credit cards are not accepted.More

Best food truck on Bon Aire

This place has hands down one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. I got the lion fish burger as well. Which was also fantastic. Yes, it’s a food truck but the hospitality feels like you walked into a full restaurant with a hostess, a...waiter and the works. The truck is next to a shady area with a cozy sitting area overlooking a beautiful view. This food and experience was unique and I will be thinking about it until my next trip back to Bonaire!More

A must visit on the Island

We were a little early and had to wait but it was so worth it. Everything was very clean and pleasant. The thought that went into lion fish, beef burger and chicken toppings and sauces was apparent. I thought the spices were awesome and was...asked if I wanted it spicy so whomever complained obviously asked for spices and then didn’t like their choice. GREAT FOOD!More

A true foodie jewel of this island

That was a surprise and happy stop for us, a dive between the dives... The top–of–the menu Cactus Burger (instructions on devouring this friendly monster made of TWO ADULT-SIZE BURGERS were readily provided, thank you!) You can also partake of the lion fish here –...a local delicacy. Best food, best service, no skimping on quality and quantity here, as well as the friendly smiles and prompt service. The best burger ever!

After following Cactus Vlue's Facebook page for months we finally had the opportunity to try it out on our last vacation. We went for the lionfish burger (which was delicious) but also ordered the Kiteburger. My sons (ages 10 and 12) couldn't believe how delicious...the burger was. It was such a pleasant lunch spot with shade under the trees. We'll definitely return on our next trip!More
