Great Food

Bella Vista has take out only service for food during our social distancing time. Today is our last day for lobster season, March 31, in Bermuda and they are offering a great lobster price for whole and half lobsters. We took advantage of this yesterday. The lobster was delicious along with the roast potatoes and fresh vegetables. Their pizza was also wonderful. There were so many people ordering and coming out with boxes, that they were worked off their feet. I know that the restaurant has to be rid of their lobster and it was a great way for them to make money during this special time, but I want to thank them for the great offer.

Wonderful service

We are visiting Bermuda from Ontario, Canada for a 1 year anniversary trip. We had our anniversary meal at the restaurant, which is close to our resort. The portions are generous. The food was delicious and there were many options. We were visiting during lobster season and tried a spiny lobster dish. The dessert was delectable. The background music added to the relaxing atmosphere. The manager stopped by at the end of the meal to ask us if we were enjoying ourselves. We appreciated this personal touch.

Beautiful evening at Bella Vista

Excellent service and amazing view! Food was delicious, get the bruschetta appetizer and their pizza is big enough to share, making this very affordable. They even gave us free dessert drinks because they knew we are leaving soon. Definitely recommend!

Avoid the Cocktails, Get the Pizza

We ate here while on vacation the first week of January. Slim pickings this time of year in Bermuda. Atmosphere wasn't very nice in the dining room. More of a bar than a restaurant this time of year but the cocktails were awful. Sent back my cosmopolitan and opted for prosecco knowing they couldn't mess up pouring something from a bottle. My husband's "Martini Up with Olives" arrived, very heavy on the alcohol, so he got what he paid for but the olives had pits! He almost broke his tooth! We each ordered a Caesar salad and shared a pizza. Salad was good, pizza crust was thin, light, and a bit crunchy as we like it. Nice amount of cheese. Service was attentive and helpful.

Top notch fayre

In an island the size and location finding a relative 'bargain' is rare. Bella Vista and the attached bar are as close as you will find. Range of food is extensive and service is good particularly if you are lucky enough to be served by Reggie. As others mentioned the outside patio views of the sea/sunset also make this a venue not to be missed.

Nice views and food

This is a great place for fresh local fish and sushi! Drinks were great, options were nice. Server and staff are spot on. Nice views of golf course and water. Fruit and veggie plate, calamari, risotto & seafood was great… wahoo was overcooked (it’s 3 minutes under broiler) and perfecto!!! Love the bar and bartender!

Hidden Gem

Part of the Port Royal Golf Course, this hidden gem appears to be frequented mostly by locals. They have an extensive menu, including lobster and sushi. We opted for the sushi. We ordered the crunchy salad & 2 tuna rolls - it was more than the two of us could eat. Excellent sushi and one of the least expensive dinners we have had in Bermuda.

Hidden jewel?

This spot was a hidden jewel. We had been coming to Bermuda for 20 years but never saw this place hidden on the Port Royale golf course off South Road. The views are spectacular and we got an early dinner out on the patio with good service and no crowd. Food was also very good and we met and talked with several locals about Bermuda.

Stay vacation Dinner date

We enjoyed a lovely menu for restaurant week! The selection was interesting. The homemade desserts were lovely, especially the apple cake. Our meal was delicious and we had a nice outing. The only other comment is food could be hotter.

The service and organization by Arjun was excellent our every needs were met with curtesy and efficiency. This coupled with the excellent food made a wonderful night for family and friends. Credit to all the Staff for giving us a wonderful night to mark this important landmark. Many thanks, we will see you all soon.

Lost in the triangle 🔺️

I've eaten here multiple times whilst in Bermuda. The whole menu is solid and the pizzas are the best in Bermuda. For Bermuda the prices aren't chaotic either. The service is top tier. Reggie is the king 👑.

Nice restaurant if taking a cab

We enjoyed our meal. Service was very good. Noise level was low on arrival and through most of our meal. Live musician played the flute.

Stunning view during the evening sunset.

Bella Vista is a cozy restaurant with beautiful ocean views and the food is good. I think that staff need to pay more attention to their guest, especially when it’s not that busy. Ask them if they need another drink. I sat with my coat on the whole time. That was a clue. It was cold. I don’t particularly like sitting in my jacket all night. I didn’t let that ruin my evening though. It was just a little annoying.

The menu here is extensive--sushi, pizza, appetizers and mains, salads and sandwiches. It's an all-day menu. I'm sure that if I had ordered pizza, I would be giving a 5-star review. The best things I experienced were the spectacular view (we were right on the edge of the golf course) and the warm bread with hummus and tapenade with which we were greeted. Our main waiter was fine, but the young man who presented the food forgot the sauce for my Wahoo bites, and my husband's fish chowder did not come with the usual add-ins of rum and spice. I'm not sure if this was an omission. My husband enjoyed his lamb chops, but my veal scallopini was not very good, and it did not get to the table hot, which was surprising considering that there were few diners at the time. Inside, there is a very large bar and some other tables, but you really want to go in good weather and sit outside. We actually saw whales breaching in front of the nearby fort, and watching the golfers was also entertaining. There is a bus stop at the entrance, but if you arrive that way, you'll have a long, steep climb to the restaurant, so just make sure you are up to that.

Another outstanding evening!

This is probably our 5th year going to Bella Vista restaurant and is still our favorite on the island!! The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is very welcoming and attentive not to say the sunset is breathtaking!! It never fails our expectations!! Can’t wait until next years trip!!
