It’s been a few years since my husband and I last went to Lido, but it’s just as good as we remembered. The views are great, the waiting staff attentive and knowledgeable and the food is the best on the island I started off with...a Cosmopolitan cocktail then for our starters we had Polpettine (beef and pork meat balls) and Gamberi Alla Griglia. For the main we had Fritto Misto (mixed fried fish) and New Zealand lamb chops both with some sides. Each dish that we had was excellent and they have an extensive wine menu too. Hopefully, I will get to go back there again soon.More

A fantastic restaurant in a lovely location overlooking Elbow Beach. The service is outstanding, and, having been here a number of times, it is always outstanding.

Enjoyed a fantastic dinner in this restaurant with beautiful views overlooking Elbow Beach. The Mussels and Tempura King Prawns were the best we ever had! Service was sublime. However, as we have discovered during our ten days on this magical island, the Taxi service is...absolutely rubbish, especially Bermuda Island Taxi. Firstly, whilst we booked it an hour in advance they failed to pick us up from the Newstead hotel, so had to jump into a taxi that were dropping off people at the hotel. Then after dinner, the restaurant manager tried his utmost to order a taxi, but after a number of erroneous promises that one was on their way, he went Above and Beyond and took us to the hotel himself. Impressive or what? There is a serious issue with taxi service on the island, so before your arrive, download the Uber equivalent called Hitch to book your taxis.More

Ok maybe I don’t have enough experience to say this is the best restaurant in Bermuda BUT the food was delicious and the service was top notch. The ambiance was also fantastic with open air seating (retractable- they closed it up when there was a...slight drizzle) overlooking the ocean and a killer DJ and cover band. If you are looking for a nice night out skip the Front Street haunts and check out Lido.More

We've had some wonderful meals in Bermuda on this trip (Barracuda and Bolero to name two). Each of those was worthy of a 5-star rating. Lido is a 5++. Start with the view - we were seated at a high-top table next to the front...of the restaurant. We had an unobstructed view of the beach, the waves lapping the shore and eventually a sunset (behind us) that turned puffy white clouds pink. The food was excellent. We split the grilled radicchio - grilled perfectly and resting on a tasty romesco sauce with shaved almonds. The flavors blended perfectly and again, another chef who pays attention to texture as well as flavor. Next up was the truffle carbonara dish. The truffle was added to taste, not to overwhelm. The pecorino cheese was added to taste, not overwhelm. It was all perfectly balanced. My wife had the prawns with beans cassoulet. Tasty again. Nice selection of wines by the glass. The service was attentive and the pace of the meal was perfect. You have to travel about 10-15 minutes outside of Hamilton to get here (it's at the currently abandoned Elbow Beach Resort, which is worth a gander as well). But well worth the trek. Taxis come here often and there was one waiting for us when we finished our meal.More

When I was seated there was one other couple in the restaurant. I asked to sit at a table next to the wall with a view of the water. I was told the table was reserved. I stayed for 2 hours and no on was...sat at that table. All I can assume is that the maitre-d didn't like the way I looked (what else could he discriminate against since he didn't know me?!). The food was okay, but over priced. Expect to pay the cost of bottle for a glass of wine. The view is gorgeous. The service was solid.More

We dined at the Cafe Lido in celebration of my birthday in Bermuda. Being guests at a different resort, we had to get a cab to get here. We were glad we did that because it's located a good few minutes drive from the main...road to the beach. it is on the beachfront and is overlooking the ocean! We had a window table and the pristine sandy beach in front could easily be mistaken for the white snow in the winter month! Such a wonderful sight to behold! The azure and while internal decor and ambiance were pleasantly calming. The staff were attentive and friendly. The wine selection was impressive and so too the good food choices. We had octopus grilled to perfection as starters and scrumptious swordfish and mouthwatering mixed seafood as our mains. All washed down with a very good bottle of red wine. The soufflés were a dessert heaven! The evening was certainly a memorable and fine one and we will certainly be returning let's hope for lunch (so that we can enjoy the ocean view more) the next time we are in Bermuda!More

We came here for dinner and we were not impressed. While the view is amazing, the food and service was not. The food was rubbery and bland and didn’t have that much flavor. The seasoning was also disappointing. The prices of such low preforming food...is shocking. The waitstaff barely spoke English which made communication extremely difficult. They messed up our order on two separate occasions during our meal and brought us the wrong dish. While many restaurants would say they’re sorry and replace the meal, the service staff refused to replace our food and told us that we ordered something else. I went from the outside area to use the bathroom on the inside area they would not let me walk through a certain set of doors and made me take the long way through the entrance of the restaurant instead of the side door.More

We thoroughly enjoyed Dinner in Cafe Lido on several occasions during our recent stay in Bermuda. The staff were welcoming and accommodating and the food consistently delicious. The view is beautiful, especially seated next to one of the many floor to ceiling windows looking out...over the floodlit beach and rolling surf. The interior is refined and elegant, perfect for Romantic Dinners and Celebrations. The Chef served us complimentary warm Cheese Puff-Balls on each occasion, which were delicious, as indeed was everything we had. We recommend the Salmon, Swordfish and the Branzino, and very much look forward to returning.More

This restaurant has to have one of the best settings anywhere as one can look right down onto the beach, which is also floodlit at night. We had a drink there one night ($7 for a glass of grapefruit juice) and breakfast one morning. The...eggs Benedict were very good but I wasn’t happy that I was refused toast with the dish, despite the menu clearly saying that ALL egg dishes came with toast (irrespective of the eggs being served on an English muffin). If one of the egg dishes doesn’t come with toast, don’t say that all egg dishes do. It’s not like they’re cheap after all.More
