Absolutely correct, if you aren’t a local you’re banished to the lounge! We made reservations two days ahead and I cautioned my wife about being bumped out of the restaurant and it happened! In lounge! Ordered two cocktails, both had to be reaffirmed to get...it right! Bread is Mediterranean flat bread and overcooked. We wanted to order 12 oysters as a compliment to our Sancerre after our opening cocktails but the waiter wouldn’t allow us to order unless we ordered everything at once, ok, my waiter controls timing of dinner when I order with my wife? No, ain’t gonna happen! Happy to open wine but never got connection! He wasn’t clear as the specials as his English was limited. Anyway, he kept pushing to take our order so we decided to skip the oysters as it would be rushed and just ordered entrées. We are diners who like to take our time and not all American dine and dash people! Anyway, food finally arrived, swordfish was tepid and kebab un amazing, try using a salt and pepper mix when cooking white fish! Complimentary chocolate was the best part of the meal!More

The location is fantastic. The food is amazing. The service excellent. But it appears that if you aren’t a local you won’t get a table in the dining room and will be relegated to the lounge. We were vacationing in Bermuda. Over a month before...our arrival we made a reservation for two. When we arrived we were summarily told that the dining room was full and we’d have to sit in the lounge. I told the hostess that we had reserved for the dining room two months prior but to not avail. She stood her ground and, with no other choice , ate in the lounge. We watched as ‘regulars’ arrived and were quickly seated in the dining room. Very disappointing treatment.More

We had a great table outside over looking the bay. We had a sushi roll to start which was fresh and Spicy. The main course of snapper , beef and beans were all well done and well presented. For dessert I recommend the chocolate pudding....Overall very nice we experience. You do pay for the view.More

This place was by far our favorite. The views are outstanding and we were lucky enough to sit outside and witness a gorgeous sunset. Food is pricey, but is expected in Bermuda. Everything was delicious! I had the seafood risotto special and it didn't disappoint....Extremely fresh fish and creamy risotto. It's a must dining experience in Bermuda!More

What a fantastic experience! Seating on the terrasse, enjoying a wonderful sunset with great food is what you should expect from Blu. This place is just magic! Just one caveat: the wine list is over-prized… paying almost $100 for a simple Minuty doesn’t make a...lot of sense…More

Food was yummy. Some sushi app's,Veal parm, steak and pasta were enjoyed by...all.Then the chocolate souffle as well as lemon souffle were a hit. We closed the place down.We were the last table to leave outside and one table left inside. We got lucky as a cab pulled up when we walked outside.I recommend you arrange for a cab ahead of time. We went to Blu twice during our six night stay in Bermuda. Loved the view (bring sun glasses). The food was outstanding…. Appetizers, sushi, main course all first rate. The wine list is terrific and sommelier is very knowledgeable/helpful. Service was five star the first...night and four star the 2nd dinner (our waiter was wasn’t that good with making minor alternations - GF, she was very attentive though.). Only gripe and same for all higher end restaurants in Bermuda… be prepared for pricing which is equal to better restaurants in NYC: $22 cocktails, appetizers $20-$35 and main courses $40-$60, wine list was often 3-4x markups. Again typical for better restaurants in Bermuda. We did really like BluMore

Our experience at this restaurant was so awful I'm reviewing it. I don't post reviews that often otherwise I would be forever writing them as we travel extensively. The last straw was when a man I’m told is a co-owner came up to our table...and was rude to my wife …and she abhors gratuitous rudeness which appears to run from this manager downwards. I have been reading the previous poor TripAdvisor reviews about this restaurant and staff rudeness is mentioned frequently. I would not have believed it but I certainly do now. Bermuda is a wonderful island, possibly one of the best islands in the world, up there with St Bart’s. Bermuda is a pleasure to visit, from the point of arrival at the immaculate airport and warm welcome from the immigration officials. For us it takes the best part of a day to reach Bermuda from London and what we look forward to doing is dining out every night. Our visit to this restaurant was our first dinner out in Bermuda. The welcome at this restaurant didn’t exist. As we walked in from pouring rain and reached reception the receptionist spoke to us in a tone that was so snotty she could have frozen the entrails off a rabbit! "Wait a moment" she barked when we greeted her. We then stood there while she then chose to take a telephone call. I was holding an umbrella which was absolutely dripping wet, when she came off the phone and ordered 'follow me' ...with no hint of a welcome…yet there I was clearly holding my dripping umbrella. "What would you like me to do with this" I asked? She took it from me and threw it onto a nearby table and told me she would make sure I got it back when we left. I hoped so as it had been kindly loaned to us by our driver. Pouring rain had been fairly frequent during the day. We were then given an awful table by the service walk-through, next to the till and reception and by the servery and when I asked if we could move to another table the receptionist suggested perhaps we would like to sit at a table outside in the rain! I could not believe what I was hearing. However this was merely the first of quite a few snide remarks. This restaurant has the feel of a mediocre 1970s provincial British hotel dining room. It is like going back in time. It is housed in a horrible old hotel building which has been turned into condominiums. It is a most unattractive rectangular room. Just looking at the ceiling and the carpet is quite telling. This is a very peculiar place. It actually reminds me of some of the UK motorway service station restaurants. Many of the staff were running around like headless chickens because it was raining on their terrace and so the tables they had sold outside could not be used ...but it often rains in Bermuda...and why can't they check the weather forecast for the day and pre-plan? There was heavy rain forecast for all day including during the evening service period. It felt chaotic. The staff were carrying table tops past us in the packed out restaurant at 8.30pm in the middle of peak service and trying to fit them in wherever they could. We were sitting in the midst of chaos. This restaurant is also so noisy we could barely hear ourselves speak. The acoustics are horrendous even with the dated, tasteless carpet. The food style is all over the place. This restaurant is a jack of all trades and a master of none. They have sushi, pasta, pizzas, curries, fish, meat... I could go on... they also believe they have a wonderful wine list of times not very impressed with that either. We actually thought about leaving as soon as we saw our table, I wish we had. We started with cocktails and we then bit into hard breadsticks. At the same time a barman loudly dropped a plate on the floor close to our table Apart from our charming server who is a lady from Ukraine who deserves high praise, a number of the staff here are really rude. Rudeness seems to permeate from the top. I spoke to the co-owner known as Constanza after ordering to explain that I was a little concerned because of my wife's severe food allergy given the evident chaos. I only wanted him to ensure the kitchen appreciated how important it was for my wife's food not to be cross contaminated due to a severe allergy which our concierge service had told The Restaurant about when making the booking. Constanza then came up to us shortly after and took issue with my previous use of the word 'chaos' and also smugly mentioned that if we are not happy with our table he will move us to a 'larger' table. I told him that we were very happy at our table but the truth of it was there was no table in this restaurant we would have been happy to sit at as it was a truly chaotic and uncomfortable experience, even though the table we were given had to be the very worst table in the entire restaurant. After this we decided to leave straight after our main course. We had five or six different waiters serving our table many of them asking the same thing. I have never seen anything like it. We would have preferred to leave as soon as we arrived and I wish we had. I did consider it as I had a fairly good premonition of what was in store following our arrival. Then, one of the staff dropped a large glass item right next to our table which smashed into a vast number of tiny pieces on the carpet (see photo). This was the second item dropped near to us. This is a fairly good indication of a chaotic restaurant. Staff were rushing around all over the place. This made me wonder what it was like in the kitchen which is why I did have concerns about my wife’s allergy which is why, rather than risk it I had asked Constanza, who was clearly in charge as he was ordering people about, to remind the chef for us I do my best to be careful with my criticism and I prefer to be lavish in my praise. The delightful Ukrainian lady seemed to be our main server. She was well ahead of her game. As the chaos continued the owner was nowhere to be seen. He had possibly scuttled off to his office to watch the mayhem on his CCTV. If a large glass item getting smashed right next to our table was not demonstrative of chaos, then what is? An assistant manager came over to apologise. He told us there would be no charge. Our bill would only have been $200...it cost us more than half of that just getting to and from hotel to the restaurant. It was not about the money, it was about the rudeness. We don't fly to Bermuda in order to spend time at a restaurant where people are going to be repeatedly rude. Don't they realise they are in the hospitality business?More

Must go to restaurant! Food and view of the harbor is wonderful. Service was good but not excellent. The server was not sure what type of fish was in the mixed grill he had to go ask before letting me know. Excellent wine selection and...amazing dessert . I had the soufflé that was freshly prepared. This was a special occasion and the food was delicious the view wonderful and staff attentive. We ordered after telling our waiter (starters and main course)and then waitress (desert) of few allergies and only one mistake was made and the order stopped before it could...be consumed so at least it was being taken seriously which is good but some more choices for common Allergies for desert would be nice and consequently I ate my celebration desert alone as my husband couldn’t find anything to have after his was canceled by kitchen. We did enjoy our 2 courses very much ,Both were simple and cooked perfectly. Would have liked more vegetables perhaps.More

This restaurant had a magnificent view of the water and was the most up scale restaurant we had visited. The servers were attentive as were the managers. The menu was online and we were told several specials for the evening. Our jackets were taken to...a secure location as we dined. We are both pleased with our salad and entree choices. The service was excellent and they called for a taxi that appeared within minutes.More

Hi, that should not be a problem. We suggest calling the restaurant and confirming the date and times that are available directly with them. Hope this helps!
