Our most enjoyable dinner in Bermuda. Outstanding service, funky, fun vibe, excellent wine list, entrées were fantastic! Loved the fresh seafood and our kids enjoyed their meals as well.
Whenever I’m Bermuda, we always head over to Devil’s Isle for breakfast. Our meal is always wonderful (try the Mexican Omlet and coffee). On the most recent visit, we received our beverages and meal quickly, then the server disappeared. The inside dining was not super...busy, but there was only one server. In the past, this negative experience never happened. The Devil’s Isle is expensive.More
Great healthy menu, super friendly staff, fun drink menu, bright and clean restaurant… We loved it and would highly recommend a visit!!
DI used to be my one of my favourite hotspot to go; either for random breakfast, lunch or a nice healthy dinner. Food quality is still great but unfortunately, service level are drowning and need attention. Delay in handing menus, taking order and finally serving...food - everything is a delay. Even after realizing, there is no apology. They are slipping their service standards and is affecting basic experience to a sad one.More
Visited at lunch time today and although the place was practically full, service was swift and there was no delay on the food coming out. The lady who was looking after the outside tables was absolutely delightful,. Cheerful and couldn't do enough to make us...feel welcome and comfortable. The young man who was also serving was equally welcoming.More
Forgot one of our orders, didn’t check on our table for well over an hour & double charged us for the missed order on the bill. Honestly the food is always good, but the service rarely is.
We came here first as a stop on the Bermuda Food Tour and had the most wonderful coffee and avocado toast. The staff and managers were very interactive, friendly and chatty. We decided to go back another day for breakfast and we weren't disappointed. More...amazing coffee and biscotti, eggs benedict and a goats cheese omelette along with great service. Would definitely recommend!More
The Restaurant was full and we only just managed to get a table, 15 minutes later I realised just how lucky I'd been. My taste buds tingled when I bit into the Lamb and every subsequent mouthful massaged my expectations. It was followed by the...Dark & Stormy Cheesecake, I love the drink and the Cheesecake did not disappoint, a re-order must for a future visit.More
A local resident recommended this restaurant!! Best meal we have had in Bermuda! I had Rockfish Tacos and bacon truffle fries. Amazing. Sister-in-law had catch of the day salad. Fish was perfect. Amazing drinks. Our waitress Denise…top notch!! I wish we had taken pictures before...we ate it all.More
This was the best coffee I have had in ages. We went back here multiple times and were never disappointed. We also stocked up on coffee beans so we had a piece of Bermuda at home.
A great meal and lovely staff, the waiter was very chatty and helpful. We had the special of Guinea chick and fish plus a grilled prawn salad - both excellent.
IMO, Devils Isle doesn't deserve the negative reviews. Based on my hotel's recommendation, knowing how much I like strong coffee, I stopped in for coffee and breakfast. I found a restaurant completely reimagined for our current 'covid' world. The coffee was strong (nicely served with...a chocolate biscotti) and the banana bread 'french' toast with nutella and strawberries was awesome. Creative and tasty. Stop in for a coffee. Or sit down for a meal. Your choice?More
I am an East End resident and have not been to Hamilton to eat since pre-pandemic. My parents were visiting the island for a long weekend and staying at the Princess. I suggested we go with my son (6 months) for lunch outside due to...being it easier with the carriage. When I entered the restaurant--I waited for the hostess to be finished and politely asked for 4 (carriage included) and to sit outside. I was greeted with a rude and short response that they were busy and I would have to wait until they had time to clear outside. i politely said--not a problem--we are happy to wait. At this time--there are at least 5 other 2 tops open outside---but only one four top. About 3 minutes later the hostess came outside to tell me that we couldn't sit outside and that the tables were reserved--that our only option was to sit inside. i politely said we would find another place outside, but was completely taken aback by her rudeness to myself and my family. i will never return. My company (albeit small) utilizes Village Pantry for many of my business dinners--and we will no longer be dining there as well. I rarely write reviews--but it was so obviously rude that if you don't say something--then it warrants this type of treatment of customers to be OK. I watched from the Hog Penny outdoor seating--the 4 top was never seated. For a brand that prides itself in Flatts as being family friendly--this certainly wasn't the experience I was hoping for on a lovely sunny day with family and I will never return to this chain--including catering services. We dined here last night after a two year hiatus due to Covid. Our last experience there two years ago was terrible. In spite of that we gave them another shot and are we glad. The food was excellent. Three of our group had the...bacon cheese hamburger. It was the BEST burger I’ve ever had and I only got a bite of hers. It was perfectly cooked, juicy and huge. I chose the pork cheeks and they were superb. Our server, Margie, who is a fixture there and instantly recognized me in spite of the Covid mask did her usual excellent job waiting on us. She is a delight. I would give this place an excellent rating except for one thing - the noise levels are very high and make conversations difficult. The culprit is a large table in the center of the room which seats 10 or 12 people that is usually the source of all the loud conversations as folks there try to outshout each other.More
