Yesterday was our third Bolero lunch since it reopened as a French brasserie. (Previously, it was Spanish apparently.) On our previous visits (in previous years), we were among very few other diners, but yesterday, most tables were occupied for lunch. The porch where we had dined before was closed due to nearby construction. We had the table closest to the porch, though, which offered a nice introduction to the inside. This restaurant is charming; the waiters are welcoming, and the food is good and prepared with love. I imagine that it would be busy at dinnertime, so make a reservation for that. Although the experience is elegant, the prices are reasonable, at least at lunch. The room is nicely decorated, with dark wooden rafters, lots of mirrors along one wall, dark wooden tables, and muted burgundy upholstery. Two unique pluses are stiff cloth napkins and a basket of warm bread, which our waiter offered to refill. We'll keep coming back when we are in Bermuda.

We just enjoyed the most delicious dinner at Bolero! The staff were so friendly and happy to accommodate us. The Iberio ham with artichoke hearts appetizer was off the charts delicious. One of us got the vichyssoise and said it was the best they’ve ever had. The main courses, shrimp in puff pastry and braised short ribs were excellent. I forgot to mention the Negroni cocktail! It’s a must have! For dessert the honeycomb ice cream cone was simply delicious! Everything was top quality and we truly enjoyed interacting with the staff and meeting the very talented chef! We will definitely be back and we highly recommend everyone who either lives in Bermuda or is there visiting to give it a try!

We enjoyed our dinner at Belarusian. The service and food were excellent. We especially enjoyed the escargot served in a cast iron pot. Wife loved the salmon and I enjoyed the chicken grand mare.

We had made a reservation in advance based on reviews from both Trip Advisor and Google and we were not disappointed. You feel like you stepped back in time as you wander down the side alley and up the stairs into the dining room (we did not see a elevator and the bathrooms are on the third floor…) The frog legs were better than ones we had in Paris. The shrimp wrapped in a croissant was delicious as was the rabbit. Very authentic. My husband grew up in a French household and he was very pleased with the meal. The staff was attentive but you didn’t feel rushed. We would absolutely return (over and over) again.

We went to celebrate my husband's birthday and we had a lovely time. From the most delicious food (frogs legs and steak), tasty cocktails and first-class service we were more than pleased. I think this has now become my favourite restaurant on the island. Great ambience too.

This is probably the best restaurant in Bermuda for real "foodies", with the excellent quality of food and service. Our business lunch was so enjoyable, particularly thanks to our server, NIck. Creative menu: we shared multiple dishes including sizzling shrimp, iberico ham, mussels - all delicious and thoughtfully presented, giving us time and space to enjoy the various dishes. Great location and lovely atmosphere.

I was so hopeful for a great experience at Bolero. Based on previous reviews it sounded like a great tapas restaurant. Unfortunately it fell very short of these expectations. The first issue was that the dining room had to be at least 78 degrees Fahrenheit. For an indoor dining room that is too warm and just bad business sense. The food itself was good but not outstanding. Ultimately it was the service that was sorely lacking. As with any tapas restaurant we ordered a number of dishes to start. Typically these would come out in a staggered pace so you could enjoy one or two at a time. However, our server brought every dish at exactly the same time. I could probably overlook that but she then disappeared and never returned to our table for over 40 minutes. Not to see how the food was, not for water, nothing. In fact, the only one who came to our table was the hostess after that 40 minutes to ask if we wanted anything else. By that time we were so disappointed we were just ready for the check. That was the first time that our server came back since the food was served. I’m typically very easy going with my outlook on service as anyone can have a bad night but this seemed to be a systemic problem that would not be any better on another night. I noticed that 2 other tables in the same vicinity were having the same experience and just wanted to get their check and leave. Just not sure where all of the good reviews came from?

The last time I came here for dinner, there was no room for a single diner. I am happy to report that for Restaurant Weeks 2024, I picked a quiet night, and it may have made all the difference. I had a table near the entrance that was quiet but had good views of the other tables and diners. I started with the watercress Caesar salad which was very nice. The lamb shoulder was covered in a delicious sauce with creamy potatoes and hit the spot for me. I finished with profiteroles which were fabulous. The service was prompt and efficient that made the overall experience enjoyable. Bolero was soundly in the top tier of RW dining experience for 2024. Well done!

Dinner at Bolero was excellent. The restaurant is nicely decorated and attractive. Service was superb. It is not easily accessed as there are several flights of stairs to negotiate. The menu offers a wonderful cross section of French food and choosing is a fun job. I started with the escargot which were superb - plump, full of garlic and delicious. Plus, there were 8 or 9 in the portion, not the half dozen you normally get. I had the Seafood “ Palais de Versailles” for a main which was very good. My wife had the Duck Leg Confit which was the most delicious thing I tasted all week. In fact, we’re going back so that I can have it one night this week.

You will see its large sign from the street on a bannister, but the entrance is down the alleyway and upstairs. The atmosphere has dimmed lighted. A cozy spot, this reminded us of a Bavarian theme, but the food is French. The French food here was excellent: escargots, frogs' legs, French onion soup, the brasserie salad and the Palais du Versailles seafood combinations. Wow with the vermouth and shallots! Much like a bouillabaise with asparagus and leeks and truffles and vinaigrette...maybe it was a special. We ordered more courses than we usually do, because there was so much on the menu that wanted to try that we can't get at home. The service was perfect. Bolero was among our favorite and memorable meals during vacation.

This was the best meal we had on the island! The food was absolutely incredible and very fresh. We had the bone marrow, escargot, fish cakes to start and crispy duck leg and blackened tuna as our mains. Wish we could eat this for every meal! For dessert we had the honey ice cream which was delicious and very well stuffed into the bottom of the cone. Will definitely return here! Such a wonderful experience and great staff.

Bolero in Hamilton is amazing. My husband and I enjoyed the great atmosphere, warm and friendly service and incredible food! We started with the bone marrow and it was delicious. We followed that by the Bolero salad and asparagus vichyssoise. Both delicious! Our main courses were braised short ribs and cassoulets that we both thoroughly enjoyed. We wrapped up with a berry almond crumb that was amazing. I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant. So much more on the menu I want to try.

The food was fresh, inventive and delicious. We are vegetarian and were very excited that they in addition to their regular menu they had an entire set of vegetarian options. There was so much to choose from, it was hard to decide. We are only in Bermuda for four days but are tempted to go back to sample the rest of the menu. Can't recommend highly enough!

Arguably the best French food in Bermuda. Nice atmosphere with a very friendly staff. Very good drinks and food. There's a few tables available on the outside terrace overlooking Front Street if the weather cooperates but the inside dining is equally as nice. Overall a very good experience and I'd recommend giving it a try.

We love everything about this restaurant! and be sure to include it every time we visit Bermuda! Such a wonderful atmosphere and our waiter was exceptional (I’m sorry I can’t remember your name:/). Highly recommend the salad with the goat cheese, asparagus and pistachios (YUM!) Duck leg confit and the short rib, although I bet everything is just as delicious! Lots of locals there, so you know it’s good!
