Wondering around Front Street there are so many options that have similar menus and as visitors we weren't sure where to choose but we ended up at Astwoods due to the welcoming street appeal. Little did we know it would turn out to be one of our favorite nights out! Yes we had delicious food and amazing views at restaurants such as Blu and 1609, but this experience due to the friendly manager "OC" might just top those. The food (KFC appetizer, huge fish and chips entree, and tasty flatbread) was GREAT and reasonably priced but the interactions with the manager is what really stood out to us. He even taught us "Bermewjan" slang, and gifted me a fun dictionary for my upcoming birthday. To top off the night we had a cheesecake (which is my least favorite type of dessert) but it was PHENOMENAL - first time I have ever enjoyed cheesecake in my life!

Had a very enjoyable lunch at The Astwood Arms. It was a warm day the AC felt great. Edmond our server did a great job answering our menu questions and making sure everything was correct. The food, fish soup and grilled Wahoo sandwiches (special), was excellent and at a nice price point.

Astwood Arms was one of our favorite spots to visit during our recent visit to Bermuda. We made sure to stop in most days, and the staff was extremely friendly and the location was perfect to sit outside and gaze at the water and people watch. The inside was also super warm and inviting. Pravin took especially great care of us, and always made sure we had everything we needed. His hospitality was so incredible and drew us back time and again. We love the Astwood Arms and will definitely be back on our next visit to Bermuda!

Had a lunch meeting arranged by my local business partners. Though follow Bermuda protocols for Covid under penalty of severe monetary and legal penalties, once the host saw my “Traveller First 14 Days” red wrist band, he said “we will not serve you”. Note: all restaurants are serving outside; I am being tested according to Bermuda Government guidelines and tested negative with a PCR test the day before, I have to test again Saturday AND Sunday, according to protocol, and, if I had known there was “red wrist band” discrimination, I’d go elsewhere. Which is what I did with my associates. Stop pretending to understand what folks have to do to visit Bermuda - let alone those that come out of business necessity. I’ve been here many times in PreCovid. Get over your faux medical degrees & your clear disregard of Bermuda protocol or you too are likely to fall victim to “fake news” & real discrimination. Shameful!

Unfortunately we are subject to Government regulations in terms of who is and is not permitted to dine with us. Just like the independent traveler, we too are under the threat of severe legal and monetary penalties if we do not comply with these regulations.
Please check the below link for current regulations. This info graphic clearly states that the red wrist band is for non immunized travelers who are required to quarantine for 4 days before being permitted to dine outdoors. Following a negative 4 day test, the wristband will be changed to yellow. I am sorry that you viewed this as discrimination, it is merely a case of following the rules set in place by Government, in order to protect the community and our economy.

Tried the Bermuda pink house gin with mint and rhubarb - very refreshing.
Fish tacos (3). Were more than you could eat and very tasty. The codfish sandwich with pickled red onion and a large salad was excellent. Roberto was an excellent waiter and host.

The meal of curry chicken was delicious., excellent in fact. The kebab which was the dish of the day, though it might’ve taste good was not what was expected when you saw it on the plate. The waiter was very accommodating, friendly and made it worthwhile just doing to that specific restaurant, we’ll return.

The food was delicious and the service excellent. We sat outside and there was a match playing on the tv which was fine. However when the match was over the the endless football commentary started it was REALLY irritating. Fortunately another diner closer the the speaker asked for music to be played and all credit to the staff, they switched it over.
A great place if you love football and good food.

The atmosphere is top notch. A new establishment made to look vintage. Blown glass windows, dark wood. Tables made out of kegs. Great atmosphere.
They specialize in Gin drinks.
Came by myself. My Wahoo taco's were off the charts and my Nachos were delicious. Topped with fresh beef and plenty of guacamole.
Unfortunately, my waitress ignored me. When done, she walked past me 11 times over a 20 minute period to take care of the outside tables. never even glanced my way. Literally I felt like she purposely avoided turning her head. Is it because my check was not as large as the larger tables and the tip is included? 15% She deserved nothing for that stunt. If she came over, I would have doubled it as usual as I was a single taking up 2 spots. 20 minutes and I finally grabbed someone else and they dropped the check and picked it up. I walked out past the waitress and she avoided looking at me. Disgusting. I have many local friends that I go out with and will tell them of my experience. No way ever coming back. BTW, I saw Manager buzzing around. Did he not notice me either?

We ate here a couple of times when we were spending the day in Hamilton. Great food , good choices and decent size portions. Couldnt manage a dessert. Has an English pub feel to it and is furnished to a good standard. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Having eaten here once on our return visit to the town did not bother looking to eat anywhere else. They also play great background music.

Good place to go for a meal or sit in the bar to watch football/soccer. Great drinks and beer selection. My wife had the fish and chips and I had to steak pie (similar to shepards pie) and both were very good. Friendly staff and prices were decennt for being on the main strip in downtown Hamilton (just 2 blocks from the ferrys).

Bermuda was our first stop after a 5-day bumpy Atlantic crossing, so was happy to be on terra firma. We were craving fish & chips so split an order at this cute restaurant across from cruise port. It was excellent. Fish had a good flavor and was crispy, fries too. My friend had a "shandy", and the service was prompt and friendly. I highly recommend.

Went here for lunch with my husband and three adult children for lunch. I was very excited about getting some British food while in Bermuda and they did not disappoint.
The sausage rolls (served as a started) were right on the money. Complete with Coleman's Mustard and HP Sauce.
My ploughman's lunch was plentiful and very good. I ended up sharing it with my daughter who regretted not getting her own.
The service was friendly and helpful in telling us where we should visit while we were on the island.
Would definitely go here again!

The "Arms" can be a bit noisy on some nights (it is posing as a sports bar) but I do come often. The menu is good with a range from prime rib to chicken wings. The have a large bar and serve Grimbergen which has become my favorite beverage at this place. Prices are good considering the is Front Street in Bermuda.
On this night I had nachos that was too big to finish. I will be back to try some other items soon.

If you want to sip a beer while watching the cars go down Front St, this is fine. I can also see this being a good place for a large group. My beer was good and the pie was alright, but served on its own and seemed poor value compared to other meals I had. Staff was attentive but forgetful.

Our second night in Bermuda brought us to The Astwood Arms. This was our first visit to this establishment. We'd booked a table on the patio outside. Cannot comment on the interior as I never went inside. If you like a gin, they have a great menu where you can create your own. Food was served well presented and hot. And was delicious.
