Always a consistent favorite in Bermuda, we dined there twice during our vacation. The Old Victorian atmosphere is 'old' Bermuda with incredibly professional and personable staff. There are lounging rooms adjacent to the bar with sofas and chairs for pre-dinner cocktails. You can not sit...at the bar though. While many Bermudans go to Ascots for business gatherings, consider making a reservation here. The outside can be charming when there is humidity; the interior glass-enclosed rooms are lovely as well. The menu is price-fixed for 3 courses: appetizer, entrée and dessert (currently $68) There are also daily specials. The escargots in puff pastry was a stand out. The pâté and its meticulous presentation were amazing. We tried menu items that we do not typically try including Confit Duck Leg and also Slow-Cooked Pork Belly. Both were excellent! We'll be back as we usually revisit Ascots a couple of times.More

We were recommended to visit this restaurant by friends and they couldn’t have been more right. The service was engaging and impeccable. There is a prix fixe menu with many options…all tasty and well prepared.

We were at Ascots 15 years ago on our wedding night and returned this year to celebrate our anniversary! Everything was absolutely wonderful. First the restaurant is stunning - surrounded by beautiful gardens and artwork. The owner Angelo is from Italy and the food and...decor transports you to his country! Our appetizers, entrees, wine and desserts were fresh and delicious, and the presentation artistic and appealing! Honestly, it was as delicious - if not better - than I had remembered! Our waiter was exceptional! His personality made the night enjoyable and once he heard we were celebrating our anniversary, he brought out a beautiful dessert with a candle! Ascots is one of the best restaurants in Bermuda and I would highly recommend it for any occasion!More

My wife and I had dined at Ascots in 2006 and returned because we remembered having an excellent seafood meal. This time, the food did not live up to our expectations. The service was friendly and accommodating, and the presentation was nice, but we both...found the food subpar for the five-star we expected. The cod fishcakes had very little taste and my wife's fish chowder was average. My wife's arugula pasta didn't have a lot of flavor, even the peas were hard, and my mahi mahi was dry for what I expect. We both left disappointed and feeling as though we did not have a meal that was worth the price.More

Secured a reservation for a birthday celebration with friends. I had heard (and it was true) that if I sent photos ahead of time the restaurant would make a special menu. The tables are spaced generously apart so we didn’t hear other guests’ conversations. The...menu is a three course prix fixe with a wide variety of choices. We all picked different items so it was fun to see other offerings. Our waiter was hilarious all evening, yet unobtrusive. A nice leisurely meal. Even as other guests departed we were not disturbed nor nudged to depart. A wonderful evening with excellent and plentiful food.More

We as family visited Ascots last week for my Daughter’s 21st birthday dinner. We indeed Enjoyed our food and service. Cheers.

We did not have a reservation - but highly recommend one during peak season. We were greeted in the bar area and escorted to a table. The room was already decorated for Christmas and atmosphere was upbeat. Service was excellent...Aneil was our server and he...kept us laughing all night. The menu - is a 3 course meal for 1 price. You still select your starter/entree/dessert. The mussels (starter) was so good! I had the Chef's Special for dinner. Another guest had Butternut Squash Ravioli...ravioli was great but the red sauce was too heavy and took away the flavor from the ravioli. Desserts were great....chocolate cake was a bit dry. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone staying in or near Hamilton.More

Very nice restaurant. Great ambiance and service. Ate here for lunch and dinner and enjoyed both. Especially liked the fish chowder, mussels and the spinach salad. Interesting menu and nice presentation of the meals.

My daughter enjoyed a lovely meal. We saved this for our final night in Bermuda but wished that we visited earlier in the trip to savor our leftovers ( portions are large). She enjoyed the smoked salmon appetizer with Sirloin steak entree. I had the...Bermuda fish chowder and salmon entree. The food and service were great. They made a special dessert for my daughter when we told them that it was her college graduation trip. We originally wanted to sit outside in the lovely garden but opted for the inside AC. The service at Ascots is flawless but I, personally, was not impressed with the food. Conservatively, a couple will spend a minimum of $200 for dinner. The meal needs to be quite impressive, at that price. Lovely restaurant but not my first choice.
