The dinner at Ascots was excellent and is a very competitive price point for a 3 course meal. I had the cod fishcakes, the ravioli, and the chocolate ganache cake. Everything was delicious -- I was even impressed by the pasta which was 'a cut above. I definitely recommend eating here. My dining companion has a lot of dietary restrictions and the staff was great and handled all of her questions very well.

Secured a reservation for a birthday celebration with friends.
I had heard (and it was true) that if I sent photos ahead of time the restaurant would make a special menu.
The tables are spaced generously apart so we didn’t hear other guests’ conversations.
The menu is a three course prix fixe with a wide variety of choices.
We all picked different items so it was fun to see other offerings.
Our waiter was hilarious all evening, yet unobtrusive.
A nice leisurely meal. Even as other guests departed we were not disturbed nor nudged to depart.
A wonderful evening with excellent and plentiful food.

Awesome offerings, absolutely great meals. Four were there for dinner, and chose three different entrees - each was hot and delicious. The dessert presentation is excellent, and the staff friendly and accommodating. A truly great dining experience.

We were at Ascots 15 years ago on our wedding night and returned this year to celebrate our anniversary! Everything was absolutely wonderful. First the restaurant is stunning - surrounded by beautiful gardens and artwork. The owner Angelo is from Italy and the food and decor transports you to his country! Our appetizers, entrees, wine and desserts were fresh and delicious, and the presentation artistic and appealing! Honestly, it was as delicious - if not better - than I had remembered! Our waiter was exceptional! His personality made the night enjoyable and once he heard we were celebrating our anniversary, he brought out a beautiful dessert with a candle! Ascots is one of the best restaurants in Bermuda and I would highly recommend it for any occasion!

Why don't we have a six star option? If you come to Bermuda, Ascots is a must. We have eaten our way through the island and this place is top notch.
It is apparent that the chef who happens to be from Dublin is a specialist in classical French cuisine. My fish was delectable and my wife's duck confit was superb!!! Aside from the food, the atmosphere, the prompt service and the ambiance will bring us back for multiple meals whenever we visit Bermuda. At the moment, they have a prix fix menu that is so reasonably priced that you may question whether the food will be good. Let me resolve that issue for you. If they charged twice as much or more, no one who knew quality food would complain.
We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Ascots and I must say that I chose a winner in my wife and I chose another winner in choosing to celebrate such a special anniversary at Ascots.

When you reach the ripe old age of 75 and have a passion for food, you want something special. Our Bermudian Family chose Ascots and for that I will be eternally grateful.
The food was divine, the service out of this world, perfect ambience and the company unforgettable. The only downside was 'my treat' was gazumped, Bermudians never seem to let visitors pay!!
I had Sauteed Snails, followed by Slow Cooked Pork Belly. I struggled to choose from the very appetising sweets menu. I needn't have bothered my Bermuda 'Family' had arranged a complete platter of sweets as a surprise.
It was an evening I'll never forget, the food was exceptional, the service second to none and as I've said previously the ambience was up there with the best.
If you get a chance do not miss a visit to Ascots, you won't regret it!!

The service at Ascots is flawless but I, personally, was not impressed with the food. Conservatively, a couple will spend a minimum of $200 for dinner. The meal needs to be quite impressive, at that price. Lovely restaurant but not my first choice.

My wife and I had dined at Ascots in 2006 and returned because we remembered having an excellent seafood meal. This time, the food did not live up to our expectations. The service was friendly and accommodating, and the presentation was nice, but we both found the food subpar for the five-star we expected. The cod fishcakes had very little taste and my wife's fish chowder was average. My wife's arugula pasta didn't have a lot of flavor, even the peas were hard, and my mahi mahi was dry for what I expect. We both left disappointed and feeling as though we did not have a meal that was worth the price.

My wife and I were staying at the Royal Palms (fantastic by the way) & The Ascots is part of this establishment.
Their Chef is Top Shelf, their servers, make the experience magical. Every detail, every move is focused to make each guest, know they’re special.
Food was exquisite. Ambiance was charming & the service was the best, bar none.
Like ALL restaurants in Bermuda, it is costly, however they all are…. Just let it go & make your next reservation for the NUMBER ONE dining experience in Hamilton. You won’t regret it.

We did not have a reservation - but highly recommend one during peak season. We were greeted in the bar area and escorted to a table. The room was already decorated for Christmas and atmosphere was upbeat. Service was excellent...Aneil was our server and he kept us laughing all night. The menu - is a 3 course meal for 1 price. You still select your starter/entree/dessert.
The mussels (starter) was so good! I had the Chef's Special for dinner. Another guest had Butternut Squash Ravioli...ravioli was great but the red sauce was too heavy and took away the flavor from the ravioli. Desserts were great....chocolate cake was a bit dry.
Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone staying in or near Hamilton.

I visited Ascots for lunch on a Friday, having heard so many compliments by my circle. I must say, the food, service and ambiance exceeded my expectations. I walked through a beautiful garden in the hotel where the restaurant is located. I was immediately welcomed by Anil, a wonderful individual who genuinely cares about the experience of his customers. He was our served throughout the day and I enjoyed his friendly attitude, pampering and attention to my needs and him being my official photographer. The food was simply delicious, I tried a full course which was more than enough, the chicken mushroom crepe is a must to try, I had the mushroom chicken salad so well presented like all the dishes we had, and I had to take a bite from the fishcake my friend had, which smelled so good; and guess what, it tasted even better. The restaurant was under renovation to launch an outdoors area which seemed really beautiful, and the owner Angelo was hands on taking care of the garden, we did not have the time to talk but he was also very friendly and welcoming. Dannie, the waitress from Bulgaria was a pleasure to talk to and so was her husband, Arnie. Both amazing individuals who extended their time to accommodate us, thank you again for your warm engagement. But what really makes me craving to return to Ascots is the delicious recipes I tried, all made by Eddie, an Irish chef with international magic in his hands. I have travelled around the world and must say, his food is pass 3 Michelin stars. The desert was also very fresh, eclair as the special of the day and the orange chocolate mousse. The restaurant has a wide wine list as well, I tried one of the rieslings and had a walk through their cellar which had everything a wine lover's heart could possibly desire. The value is balanced well with the quality. Thank you again to Dannie, Anil, Arnie, Eddie and Angelo for this wonderful lunch experience and see you soon for dinner. Will highly recommend to all my friends!!

We stayed at the Royal Palm and ate at the restaurant several times. The service was very good and food was delicious and plentiful. The servers were professional and friendly. Had drinks and light fare in the bar as well during our stay. We like having a restaurant on location where we vacation and Ascots helped make our hotel selection easy. We were completely pleased with our meals .

This is my favorite restaurant in the Island, the food is amazing, service outstanding and I love the environment surrounding that beautiful garden. I tried almost everything on the menu, and it’s one of the only restaurants that I’m not afraid to ask for something different cause everything is so good. If you have the luck to be served by Dani the experience will be even better 😁

Upon recommendation from friends we chose to have our first dinner on our honeymoon at Ascots and we were not disappointed. The new People's menu is well priced and has lots of options.
The selection of wines is phenomenal and takes much longer to choose a bottle than selecting your dishes for the evening.
Fine dining service is provided with your water and wine kept chilled and topped up by the friendly and knowledgeable staff.
The food was delicious, well cooked and presented, portion sizes are also generous! As a special surprise for our honeymoon we were presented with a dessert platter. Each dessert was incredibly good but the apple pie in particular was spectacular!
Overall we were very impressed and couldn't have asked for a better way to start our honeymoon! Thank you to all the team!

Went here for a 40th anniversary
Our best diner and value was at Ascots located a 10-minute walk from the Hamilton Princess. Our delicious three-course $65 dinner was in a nice outdoor setting. The service was perfect. For the desert course they put nearly everything on a platter with a happy anniversary candle on a cookie. It was all very nice. Also, we ordered a nice bottle of Australian Shiraz from a vineyard we visited 2 years earlier. It was priced well for the restaurant.
