We come here annually and went tonight for dinner specifically to try the chicken. Thought we would be eating on the patio outside by the ice cream window but found out we sit inside the restaurant. We split the half a chicken and they were able to give us the fried rice instead of the fries. While it took a long time, it was very tasty. I did like the spices on the chicken but wasn't a fan of the dipping sauce that came with it. It was a spicy mayo based sauce which in my opinion, took away from the spices on the chicken. The server was friendly, but not overly attentive since she was also working the ice cream window. Prices are par for the course for the island and they do add a 10% gratuity to the bil and there are plenty of options on the menu. Swing by, it's good!

Dear Stu, Thank you for visiting AEMP. Where we seated you (table 11) is considered our outside patio and what you consider our outside tables are really set up for our gelato lovers. We look forward hosting you next year again. Kind regards, Jan & The AEMP team/

My girlfriend and I had an exceptional Peruvian lunch filled with top of the line ceviche, fish dishes, and dessert. The owners are very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate all of our requests. We will definitely stop in for another lunch before we leave, if you want authentic, delicious Peruvian cuisine at a reasonable price, Asa Es Mi Peru is the place to go!

From the chill and relaxing music, to the super friendly servers and owners, to the beautiful arrangement and ambiance, to the delicious food, this restaurant was carefully and thoughtfully designed for everyone to have a magnificent cultural culinary experience. Our server’s name was Oliver; all of his recommendations were on point, he went out of his way to share his passion for food and for the country of Peru, and he made a strong effort to connect with every person in the room. Even more, the food was spectacular: fresh, fast, and flavorful. If you are looking to have a transformational dining experience, look no further.

Have been here before and enjoyed but not this time. Fresh fish of the day with other shellfish served tepid and tasteless. Rice dish with chicken as entree had very little chicken. Tamale dry and tasteless. Ceviche was good. Love good Peruvian food but will wait till returning to NY. Will stick to Wacky Wahoo, Yamanja, Driftwood, and Red Fish for fresh well prepared fish.

Dear Bob, Thank you for having visited our Peruvian restaurant. Sometimes people enter our restaurant and we instantly feel that they are going to have the dining experience of their life. And across that other (very limited) spectrum there are those that enter our restaurant and we just know that nothing we do we will be able to please them. We had that feeling when I accompanied you back to your taxi at the end of your dinner. Some of us unfortunately live in a world where the frame of reference is such there is more negativity then positivity and Trip Advisor is a perfect platform……..without being evaluated ourselves!! Since opening 3 years ago, we have received 3 terrible reviews! We are not proud of the score BUT we work hard and pay our staff very well which does give us a feeling of pride. We are in our restaurant every day and we visit each and every table. Our culinary staff is 100% Peruvian and our Peruvian cuisine is authentic and a match to any good to very good restaurants in Lima. What more can we do? We recommend you should continue to pay patronage to those restaurants in Aruba you mention in your review. We are afraid in respect to our colleagues to add any other recommendations that I am sure deserve to be on your list. Jan & The AEMP team

So last year when we stopped by, we tried their Peruvian roasted chicken and really liked it. This year, we had the opportunity to try roasted chicken at 2 other places in the area, so we were actually able to do a taste test. I can tell you unequivocally, this place has the best on the island. Superbly spiced and most importantly, not overcooked or dry. My wife really liked her duck with rice ( can't remember the name). The duck was not dry or overcooked, and it came with lots of rice. Lots of options on the menu, and next time I want to try some of their Peruvian Chinese entrees. Oh, and don't forget to try the coconut ice cream!! The server was friendly and the service was decent, but they did auction off the food. Prices are not bad for what you get, and they do add a 10% service charge. This is one of the places we hit every year and plan on continuing to do so. Thank, Jan, another great meal!

we dined at Asi es mi Peru in Paradise Beach Villas it was a culinary delight, the atmosphere was fantastic, the wait staff and owner were attentive and top notch. We dined on a shared appetizer Mixto Cerviche (mixed seafood), Quinotto con frutos del mar (Quinoa with cream sauce and cheese topped with seafood), Sudafed de Pescado (Fish stew, seasoned with tomato, garlic, onions, and chiles), and the Grand Finale Dessert (sampling of 6 different delicacies). This was a feast for the stomach and very authentic Peruvian food.

The only negative to this visit was gaining access to the place. We walked around and around looking for the place, our GPS seemed as confused as we were. As it turns out, you must first enter a resort and then access the restaurant from there... we found no exterior entrance for the restaurant. Once inside we were greeted by many smiling faces and the service was very good. As mentioned in my title, my wife's quote was, "That appetizer was the best I can recall ever eating." It was the seafood medley-including ceviche and several types of fried seafood. Our entrees were both good- one was a 5star/the other a 3star, The overall cost seemed a bit lower than most in this market. We recommend and would eat here again.

If you love ceviches this is a place that should be on your list. We went for a week and visited twice for dinner and once for a quick late afternoon snack. Food and service is great but the most amazing thing about this place is their Leche de Tigre which is super tasty, great portion for only $7.50 The chef is from Peru and makes truly authentic dishes! Keep up the great work! Go and experience for yourself, I will definitely return when in Aruba again! Very highly recommended!

Dear Klemcia, Thank you for visiting our AEMP. We are a modest Mom & Pop operator that do not boost about our ceviche or translated from Dutch " do not shout from the roof" that our ceviche is the best......BUT people do say it is the best!! Trust we will see you again upon your next visit. Jan & The AEMP team

Keep returning here as the fod is very good. It's different from the usual fare. The shrimp soup is a meal by itself, even tho it's billed as an appetizer. The fish chowder the same. They have a tasting menu for two for $50 - 2 appetizers, one main dish to share + dessert. A lot of food!! All delicious. God service as well

My wife and I enjoyed a meal at Asi es mi Peru on 2/21. The Peruvian stir fry I had and my wife’s Red Snapper were delicious. The Peruvian Malbec that was recommended was dry and flavorful. The Peruvian decor was attractive. We sat in the section with windows that stood open, taking advantage of the comfortable weather of Aruba. Our waiter, who was also the maître d’, was quite personable, a Peruvian native well versed in the dishes on the menu, and an enthusiastic host. The restaurant owed at least half its charm to him, and he enhanced our dining.

Every part of this experience was incredible: from the ambiance, to the food, to the service. My friend and I ordered the lomo saltado and it was delicious. Portion size is the right amount of food. Our waiter, Oliver, was very friendly and made great suggestions, like recommending the Peruvian beer, which was quite tasty. For dessert we ordered the Peruvian donuts with homemade ice cream - the taste was beyond words.

Went for dinner on Feb 11 with a large party (14 people) which they broke us up into 2 tables (men at one table, women at the other- no big deal) . Food and service was good but one table had to wait a long time for their food. Men were already eating their dinner while women were still waiting for their appetizers. They did give us all gelato on the house. Might give Asi es mi Peru a break next year

Dear Bill, I wonder how many restaurants score a perfect 10 accommodating a table of 16 (not 14 as you mention). Why? For a small restaurant committing 16 seats at the peak time of 7 – 7.30 pm having to serve all at the same time with cocktails and wine, appetizers, and main dishes with other patrons on a busy evening is rather challenging. That's why we split the party of 16 persons over two tables of 8 next to each other because 16 patrons would not have been feasible where for starters the maximum of persons, we usually take at one table is 12 persons. So yes, one table was served before the other and we kept apologizing for the delay at the other table. Comments were that the food was delicious and we offered the entire party of 16 free gelato. Based on the review we will NOW only take reservations for 12 persons at the time provided this is out of the peak ours. Our sister restaurant on the second floor, The Kitchen Table, does accommodate 16 persons at the time but we suggest reservations to be made with a 3 months’ notice for this fine dining restaurant. So once again our apologies and acknowledgement for the delay in service and we trust we can hoist you again but not with a table of 16.

We spent a day in Aruba on a cruise ship visit and caught the bus to Eagle Beach to do some exploring. We lived for several year in Quito, Ecuador and are enthusiastic devotees of Andean and particularly Peruvian cuisine so the opportunity for some ceviche and pisco sour was just too good to miss. And boy was it a good lunch! We spent a considerable time chatting with the owner, Roxanna, and left to return to our cruise ship with the happiest memories of great flavours, fine service and good people. In fact, the lunch was a highlight of our entire 14-day Caribbean cruise. Mil gracias, Roxanna, de parte de estos dos escoceses.

This is with no doubt, the best Peruvian restaurant I’ve been in any country and we are lucky enough it is in Aruba. The food is amazing, especially the Chupe, the service (led by Oliver) makes you feel at home and the owners are present to make sure you enjoy from beginning to end. Coming to Aruba and not trying Asi es mi Peru is almost a sin. We come once per year to Aruba and eat here at least three times per trip, it is that good!

My boyfriend and I first tried the food truck when we stayed in Aruba this past week and we couldn't get enough of the food. We ended up sitting and eating at the actual restaurant for our anniversary, AND came back on our last night on the island because we loved it there so much. The restaurant was decorated colorfully and authentically, from the art on the walls to the beautiful table settings. The staff (especially Oliver, the waiter) was attentive, classy, and kind; each member of the team went above and beyond to create the best experience for us each time we dined there, and they were truly successful. The food is exquisite and beautifully presented, and not to mention promptly delivered. I had difficulty finding vegetarian-friendly restaurants in Aruba, but Asi es mi Peru has a 4-5 item long vegetarian menu that is delicious. The desserts are also incredible, and we found we couldn't go for dinner without also getting dessert afterwards! We were surprised to see that this restaurant was rated only 4.5 stars because we whole-heartedly believe it deserves all five! A must for visitors to Aruba!
