Our waiter Randy was an excellent host. Very nice ambiance in the Hyatt Regency.
I had the grouper - I eat grouper as often as possible on the island and this was the best meal of this trip.
My wife and kids all had steaks and they were perfectly cooked with lots of “sauce” options.
Dessert - I followed Randy’s advice and had the warm pear and pistachio ice cream. Phenomenal. Tres leches also very good. Warm chocolate cake was devoured.
Only down side is the cocktail menu prices were $40-50 per drink.

Dinner was fantastic, I had Lobster and it was so good. For appetizers they have fresh bread and it is very tasty. There was life music, violin and he can play whatever song you request. Also very nice is that you can request fish food to feed the fish at the pond. I recommend Ruinas Del Mar to families with kids, couples. Will definitely come back. I heard they have a special thanksgiving menu that is amazing.

If you are looking for amazing food and a wonderful ambience then look no more. This restaurant is surrounded by a large koi pond filled with the most beautiful colored carp and a royal black swan named Ruby. This is a perfect spot for couples or families who want to be immersed in a tranquil setting. There is indoor and outdoor dining. We love to eat outside by the koi pond where you are given fish food to feed the always hungry fish.
The quality of the food at this restaurant is superior. One of my favorite dishes is the red snapper which can be prepared with several different sauces. The focaccia bread is absolutely fantastic and I love the salad with calamari, shrimp and octopus. The desserts are amazing too. In addition the waitstaff is awesome especially Fernando!!!!!

I definitely would not recommend a restaurant with such bad service from start to finish. I’ve tried so many good restaurants on the island but this one disappointed me in my opinion!!
Why poor water in my glass and spilling water on my table instead by picking the glass up and poor it away from my table.
Why 2 waiters interacted at the same time to take order from one person? That gives me anxiety.
I’d rather pay for my food and drink when i order and not by waiters rushing me and tell me what i should order if i did not ask for an opinion nor suggestions. ( i like to discover the menu what food they offer and the ingredients to know what I’m gonna eat.)

I honestly did not like the treatment of the service I received from the waiter, the food was terribly bad for me and everyone on my table: i ordered a steak that come with mashed potatoes and broccoli, i never expect to eat a mashed potatoes that doesn’t taste like potatoes, if the chef prefers to put celery in it then i would rather eat the celery itself raw. The meat itself didn’t even had taste not even salt or pepper. the cocktails was terrible far from what i expected to be. Paying an amount of money that’s not worth it.

This restaurant was temporarily located in the Palms Beachside Grill due to renovations. I liked the environment better than eating at the fish pond and liked the food and service. There was also entertainment, one night it was a violinist. My waitress, Janet Hodge, had a great personality, and was amazing. I loved my salad which had all my favorite fruits. I also enjoyed the Chilean Sea Bass. A 3-course meal can cost a lot here, but it was one of my favorite places to eat.

The atmosphere is beautiful but the food is bad. We ordered fish that was on the menu and then the waitress came and said they didn't have it. We ended up ordering another fish but we didn't like it, the dish was extremely flavorless and had a lot of oil or butter. Everything just tasted like that. I don't recommend it and wouldn't go back. What saved the dinner was the salad alone.

We loved the setting of the restaurant but the menu is a big disappointment. Any coffee shop in a Hyatt regency has a better menu than this restaurant. When i spoke to the headwaiter he said they are working on a new menu. My guess is they don't have the kitchen staff skills to produce a more elaborate menu. We had the fish of the day and a 8 oz tenderloin, which arrive on a cold plate with the garnish also being cold. They did not charge for a glass of wine as compensation but at $ 92 for the 2 meals and a 15% service charge you are better off next door at the Azzuro Ristorante.

This was the second time I've gone to Ruinas Del Mar for dinner, and it quickly became one of my favorites on the island. The scenery at this restaurant is unmatched; there is a beautiful swan, a sea of fish, and waterfalls that can be seen from every seat. The staff was also amazing; they brought us fish food to feed the koi while we waited for our food, told us stories about the animals at the resort (the Hyatt), and were very personable and friendly. They made this experience even better. On top of all of that, the food and drinks were amazing. Go here for an unforgettable time!

We found this place by happenstance. We were renting a Jeep for a few days and the rental company, Top Drive(highly recommend), is located in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency. We saw the beautiful restaurant and resort property and decided to make a reservation for that night. We got a late table but man was it worth it! The restaurant is either on the site of or based on the ruins of a gold mill, so the atmosphere is very cool. Our table was right beside a giant pond they have constructed with waterfalls and so many ducks and geese you couldn’t count. Adds to the atmosphere.
My wife had burrata cheese thing for an appetizer, and had the clam chowder! I would’ve licked the bowl if I was at home it was so good! We both had the fish of the day, which was I believe was sea bass, very good even though I don’t usually order fish(bad experience with Mahi Mahi in Hawaii)
The staff was extremely friendly and attentive! Never had to ask for anything they were on it! Absolutely eat here and probably stay here next time we are in Aruba. The resort is beautiful.

We’ve had such a great experience at the Hyatt spending our last night at this restaurant really out a damper on the trip. The food was great but honestly the service was awful. The waiters acted like vultures for tips.. it was so appalling. We got over a $100 bottle of wine and 2 steaks and they watched us eat desert.. right when we closed the tab book they came running
Over … impossible to enjoy a meal here with this behavior. Not sure what they expected with tip included as well? Just very odd behavior.

My family and I had dinner here while staying at the Hyatt Regency Aruba for a week. The restaurant is very beautiful with outdoor dining right on the hotel koi fish pond. The service was a bit lacking in that it took quite some time to get water refills and the food we ordered. The food was delicious and I enjoyed my steak all the things we had.

We are guests at the Hyatt and expected their food to be on point.
The bar food is all decent. No issues.
Went to this restaraunt last night. I ordered the $80 surf and turf. It was disgusting! The dish stank fishy. The meat was WAY undercooked. We ordered it medium and it was still cold in the center (I did send the meat back to be cooked more). The worst was the lobster. It tasted bad. I ate 1/2 of it and decided to stop for fear of getting sick. Next day…today….and my stomach has been bothering me ALL day!
To add to this poor exsperience.
The service was also sub par. Our server wasn’t very friendly. He was ok. But just seemed “off.”
I would not return here.

We absolutely loved our experience at Ruinas del Mar with our waiter Antonio. From the moment you walk in, it is such a beautiful setting. We were greeted by friendly staff and our table looked out into the koi pond with the beautiful black swan.
Antonio provided us recommendations which we did select a few of. Our drinks were superb as were our appetizers. We were pleased before our main meal even came, and that did not disappoint. We had steak and the Caribbean lobster tail which were excellent! I chose to enjoy and end the night with the apple & pistachio puff pastry dessert....as someone who rarely gets dessert but loves sweets, this was such a tasty choice!!
If you get the opportunity to come to Ruinas Del Mar (even if not staying at the Hyatt you can eat here), DO!! I wish every dining experience was like here.

ZYRON was just amazing! Very caring and customer service oriented. Dinner took some time to be served and he came and informed us and checked on us several times. A young man so well mannered allready, can only grow to be the best in your company. Thumbs up for the great service👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Our first night in Aruba after a long plane ride from NY we stayed at the Hyatt Regency and wanted to eat dinner early because we were exhausted. So my hubby and I explored the beautiful resort and came upon Ruinas Del Mar inside the Hyatt. The host, Manny was so sweet, we told him we are celebrating our 25th Anniversary and we didn’t have reservations. He sat us at an outside table overlooking the beautiful beach & coy fish swimming by. The best seat in the house! We ordered the grilled octopus salad and the homemade bread for appetizers. Beyond delicious!!! So good we ordered more bread with our entrees. I had the veal medallions and my hubby had the seafood paella. So yummy and delicious. Our waiters name was Anthony and he was great ! For dessert, my hubby and I just ordered tea & coffee but Manny (the host) and Anthony came out with a delicious big piece of vanilla cake and wrote “Happy 25th Anniversary “ around the dish. I felt so special and for them to do that was just memorable! I would highly highly recommend you eat here, you won’t be sorry! Oh and the prices- comparable to NY dinner for 2 ! So for us we splurge when we are on vacation!
