I have no idea how someplace this good is now in 48th. I have to assume that most of the northeastern ears have no idea what food is supposed to taste like. QDC has been one of 5 most consistent, top quality, intelligent designed dishes...and great service in Aruba. I refuse to accept that they aren't considered highly as the should be.More

We have been visiting Aruba for 16 years with our kids, who visit with us now as adults. We don't have a timeshare because that is the worst investment you could ever make, but I digress. I share with you now, that we have thought...to finally make a list of all our (repeat) dining selections (we never frequent anything fast food our casual (read Pizza) in Aruba, which I share so you can know we compared it with all fine dining in our Top 10. I won't go through them all, but we each had differences in opinion with only the ranking, not the restaurants, with only Quinta del Carmen to be listed as #1 on each list. It is such a unique (Dutch?) experience with incredible atmosphere (if you are not wanting ocean front). The food and service experiences are always memorable, not too overstated to be stuffy, and yet tremendous attention to detail and guest experience. We find when we talk about our Aruba experiences, our Top 10 restaurants agreed upon, Quinta is the one we have specific memories of with each trip. If you can only pick one dining experience where you need it to be on point and memorable, I won't say Quinta is the ONLY choice, but I will say you will NOT go wrong choosing it. It will exceed expectations, consistently.More

First impressions are lasting ones and this restaurant deserves a 10! There is plenty of space for social distancing of tables in the outside seating areas. The menu with both tapas and à la carte entrées offers something for every palate. Attentive service and reasonable...prices.More

Absolutely awesome tapas! The Caribbean ceviche was unbelievable! Also the tuna. They have a great and affordable tapa selection. Also lots of great drinks.

This restaurant came highly recommended by friends. Glad we tried it as the food and and ambiance were out standing. I started with scallops Au Gratin as an appetizer. The scallops were delicious and the dish was over the top with the cheese. No clue...which white cheese was included in the dish. I simply enjoyed it. For the main entre, I decided to try a Dutch dish that was traditional and a Grandma's favorite on the menu, Draadjesvlees (beef similar to pot roast with red wine, spices & herbs)cooked for hours). I was impressed. Simply delicious! Given the history of the building and the fabulous food this restaurant is a must visit for anyone going to Aruba.More

When I write reviews, I like to complete the review before I give it stars and a title. I do that because I don't want to approach it in a biased fashion. For instance, I did not like the food at Quinta del Carmen, but...once I work through the experience of our family of five, perhaps I'll have a different opinion. Quinta del Carmen is a beautiful setting. The outdoor courtyard is strewn with gorgeous hanging lights. The building itself is the site of the first hospital in Aruba. It's a really pretty/special setting. Additionally, the service is great, although it got slower and slower as our meal progressed. For starters, we had the chicken noodle soup was was said to be pretty good. I had the french onion soup - I loved the consistency but it lacked punch/flavor, the beef carpaccio, which was deemed "okay" and the crispy shrimp, which was the best. We had some appetizers as mains for the main course, including the corn chowder, which lacked flavor. We also had the watermelon salad, which was great. The ceviche was good, but not as good as Pincho's the night before. We also had the croquettes, which were really enjoyed. One family member had the skirt steak and thought it was just an "okay" expression of the meat. I had the grouper, mushroom, and truffle. I had all kinds of problems with this. I asked in advance if it was locally caught or frozen, and the server said frozen. I normally wouldn't have ordered it and instead done the locally caught snapper. I deviated from my own approach because the flavor profile sounded like something I'd enjoy. The scrawny, previously frozen filet did not hold up well to the bold, heavy flavors. I am sure if I'd substitute a filet for the grouper that would have been a great dish. I didn't like it and surely blame myself. Oh well. Overall - more misses than hits but the setting is quite magical. I'm giving it four stars but I could be accused of being an easy grader!More

I vowed to return to this restaurant every time I go back to Aruba. Great outdoor seating ambiance with trees and string lights. The pineapple margarita was delicious. Had the steak with blue cheese and it was easily the best steak I ever had (and...I'm picky!)More

Every single employee was so welcoming and fun to be around, and the tapas menu was delightful ... lots of different options to choose from and sample. I can't wait to come back here as this was the best dinner we had on our trip.

We try to eat at Quinta del Carmen whenever we visit aruba and last night was our third time. We were just as pleased as the first two times we came. We all ordered the Watermelon drinks. Next i had the "goat cheese creation", a...delicious dish served on toasted bread. The grouper, salmon and shrimp was served on a bed of mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked fresh vegetables. My wife had the surf and turf which came out juicy and perfectly seasoned. We left room to share a Nutella cheesecake with 4 forks and decaf cappuccino. The cappuccino was so good it could have been desert by itself. One of the finer upscale places on Aruba. I know we will be back!More

Would stick with seafood only if we come back here. Wife’s dish was delicious. Lobsters and shrimp combo over mashed. Lobster sauce was very tasty. Rib eye was a bit underwhelming considering the price and expectation. Desert (Pineapple Carpaccio) had some sort of alcohol in...it but was not mentioned in the description. It’s an expensive meal in general. Was still good but prob need to try something different next timeMore
