Lord of the Flies... plenty of quantity but you can't eat because if the hoards of flies doing Kamikaze attacks into the meal. What we had was ok, albeit overcooked and carb dominant. Rice+Fries+Fried Polenta+Fried Bananas... Sauces were too sweet. Hot sauce wasn't that hot,...which is disappointing for Aruba. Has potential and could work if there was less food of higher quality. But the thing that chased us out were the flies drowning in the sauces.More
Always good. Service is always "interesting" and good humored ; ) Come on folks it is a local seafood place with decent prices, generous portions and very good food. Each visit to the Happy Island this is always a must. Oh and I always ask...to sit near the fans - it is an outside patio and yes sometimes there are flies.More
My wife and I went here for dinner. The Marriott Ocean Club recommended this restaurant. Staff was very attentive and courteous. I had the 1/2 lb shrimp and 1/2 lb snapper. My wife had mahi mahi. Both were excellent and the portions with sides were...crazy large. This was our first time here, but will not be our last. Cost was mid-range, and appropriate for the quality, but low for the quantity. Definitely recommend!More
Great seafood and good prices. I had the red snapper fried, it was outstanding. The service was friendly and good. I would recommend you experience this place while in Aruba.
Located off the highway in Low rise district, we decided to try a nearby favorite. It was only 5pm in October, but there were lots of locals & a group as well. They have a full bar, one hint TV with soccer & nice new...construction! This open air restaurant was an inexpensive local Aruban delight! We started with funchi (fried cornbread with melted cheese) & then had 2 side salads(delicious fresh veggies)! We were told portions were big, so we spilt the Seafood pasta with marinara. Not a traditional marinara, but a surprisingly slightly creamy delicious bowl of goodness w/ penne pasta, large shrimp, huge chucks of fish filet, calamari & mussels! So big? We split & took home some pasta for leftovers! Excellent service & we tipped extra because it was so much cheaper off the beach! Definitely will be back!More
Great local place to get some awesome fish and shrimp! Highly recommend trying the Red Fish out if you’re in Aruba and want a fresh catch!
The food here is delicious - so far, our favorite in Aruba. We ordered the Paella and it was huge, enough for us to share amongst the two of us, and even had leftovers after that. It was full of flavor, with lots of seafood...and was hot when it came to the table. I haven’t had a lot of Paella before but it’s the best I’ve ever had. We also ordered a Kids Pasta with Marinara for our toddler. That was a large portion too. Our little one loved it and we were impressed with how much of the pasta was devoured so quickly. We ordered one of the special drinks (pink) and thought it was okay, very sweet. The reason for a 4/5 was because of the service. We were seated immediately but didn’t have anyone come to us for maybe 15-20 minutes and after we ordered and got our food, no one really checked on us. We had to flag someone down to ask for plates and silverware and think maybe they were just so busy they forgot about us … not sure what happened. We ended up just getting silverware from another table and digging in. Haha. Still … the food was sooo sooo good! We will be coming back! :)More

The fried fish was typical like other restaurants on the island. I ordered one paella to be split by my husband & myself and they charged us for 2 paellas! The drinks were very weak!
Good honest food. On the pricey side. Lack of ambience. Good service. Easy to find. We had grilled and pan fry fish and shrimps and they were average portions but good and fresh. Smoothie not so, lacking flavor.
Wow, what good meal on the first night in aruba. My husband had a whole red snapper, and shrimp was excellent . Conch fritter was excellent. The drinks was good as well.

Great local spot. Staff was extremely friendly and I loved the server’s recommendations. We got fried shrimp and conch fritters to start. They were good. But the best part of the meal was our dinner. My wife ordered the mahi Mahi with shrimp, blackened. I...got the bone in red snapper and shrimp also blackened. WOW! we were blown away with the seasoning. Spicy and the flavorful. The fish was cooked to perfection and I was able to navigate the bones easily. Each came with plantains and rice as well as a delicious garlicky floral sauce. It was nice with the shrimp. We love the local hot sauce “pica de papaya” and they brought some to the table to enjoy. The portions were huge and prices were great. Don’t let the location fool you, it was bar far one of our favorites and would highly recommend.More
Great food at a casual location. The food was well prepared and very tasty. Great fish soup, and pan fried mahi mahi with shrimp.
