Walked over from the Renaissance after visiting the sister restaurant Pinchos the night before. We were assisted by Joanne. She had great knowledge of the menu and recommended items to us. My husband had the grill trio because he enjoyed a similar item the night before. This was delicious. It was on a kabob with steak, pork and sausage. The meats were cooked perfect and served with great pepper sauces. The vegetables it came with were plentiful and perfectly cooked - seasoned well and still slightly crisp. I got the coconut shrimp and it was good but I would recommend my husband's dish over this. Will be going back to try the grouper sandwich. I recommend this place for the medium price point ($60 for two with a cocktail) and the beautiful sunset views of the water. Staff was attentive as well.

We came for a casual beer and early dinner overlooking the water. We had a reservation, and were initially seated at a table for two immediately next to the waiting area directly in the sun on the deck. We asked to be moved to a table out of the sun because most of the tables were empty and the host who seated us refused because it was the only table for two. We were about to leave, but our server, Joanne came to the rescue and noticed we were unhappy and gladly moved us to their beer garden area which was more accommodating. She is the only reason we stayed there. Her service was excellent! The food wasn’t bad. We did really enjoy the Fried Funchi. The Aruban Keeshi Yena was decent but the pulled chicken in it was overcooked. The coconut shrimp were good but the sauce was strange for our taste. The Balashi beer was cold. Would come back to try some other things on the menu.

We went to the restaurant on a whim and absolutely loved it. The servers (Joanne & Silviene) were great and friendly. One of them came over to us and said she wasn’t super busy and offered to take a pic of our family at sunset. Food was on point and in the garden they had a small corn hole set which my kids loved while waiting for the food.

We stopped here because of the location right on the water. We were seated at the picnic table area which is very cute. Our server was very "scripted" and I swear she probably told every US tourist that she was originally from whatever state they were from. Food was ok but not the best we had all week. I would choose the Pelican Nest over West Deck because prices were better for the amount of food you get and the food is better.

We went here for lunch based on all the positive reviews. It was mediocre food we opted for the funchi, the fish sandwich, fish sliders, beer battered fish sticks, ceviche, and the shrimp. The ceviche didn't have much to it (it looked like quite a bit in a bowl but just had shredded lettuce under it to appear more not worth $10 in my opinion). The sandwiches were alright not the best I've had but my husband said the shrimp and the fish sticks were good. The service was so slow there was only one other group there and the manager or owner I don't know who he was stayed at their table visiting the whole time. I understand that all the restaurants are hurting due to the pandemic, but the few customers you do have at least make it memorable to them.

We've been to Aruba many times over the years and this was first time to The West Deck. We took a UTV Adventure tour with Fofoti Tours and Amin was our awesome guide who highly recommended this restaurant, so tonight we gave it a shot, and it was AWESOME!! Nothing fancy about it, just a cool waters edge bar/grill type place with very local atmosphere, outrageous food and moderately priced compared to other places. Covid friendly with mandatory temperature check and hand sanitizer upon entering, And tonight we only ordered appetizers, and our waitress Zully was outstanding!! Very warm, friendly and attentive and since it wasn't so overly crowded, she devoted alot of time to thoroughly explaining the dishes. She was the best so try and ask for her.

For our last day in Aruba we decided to go to The West Deck because it was recommended by friends and because it got really good reviews on trip advisor. The restaurant is outdoors with a view of the beach (we couldn’t see the beach because we went at night). The food overall was amazing and very tasty. Additionally, our waitress Zully was very helpful, bright, and uplifting when we ordered and when she delivered our meals. The burger I got was very tasty. Additionally, the seafood and clam chowder were amazing. Ifwe ever come back to Aruba we will definitely go to this restaurant again and it’s definitely a must try!

We first found this place about 5 years ago. A sister to Pincho's the food is excellent. While I was craving the Lobster Rolls they used to serve, they were no longer on the menu so I opted for the Fish Cake Sliders - these were a great choice! 2 sliders, not big but very tasty and filling. It came with very small serving of pasta salad but we ordered fries to split. Hubby had the Grouper Sandwich - I am not sure who's I like best but it was very good as well! Can't go wrong with anything here.

Our party of Six enjoyed dining on local seafood dishes at this waterside restaurant and watching a huge ship as it departed Aruba. We ordered fish sandwiches fish cakes, chowder and several different delicious and unique cocktails. Everything cooked to perfection. The service here at The West Dock is outstanding. Our waitress was Zully and she couldn’t have been more helpful in every way. Her suggestions on what to order as well as her attention to our requests was much appreciated. Thanks Zully for making this one of our favorite Aruba restaurants!!

My wife and I along with 2 other couples joined for dinner at "The West Deck". We didnt have a reservation at it was around 7pm on friday night. We were quickly given a table, now I wouldnt advise that again next time since the resturaunt was quite busy, we just got lucky. Zully was our waitress, she was absolutely incredible. She has a personality made to be a waitress. We were celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary for one of the couples with us and she happily took pictures for us. The mixed drinks were great and the food was excellent. I had the special which was grilled wahoo. It was a fair size portion and the sides were excellent. One person in our party loved their rice because of its sweet flavor. He later found out it was cooked with coconut water. I highly recommend this place. Atmosphere of live music makes this a great place to join friends or a nice romantic place for two.

We’ve been here many times before and this time it wasn’t good. I asked for the Bay Beach Salad and nowhere on the menu does it say pepper’s. I don’t like them so I just pushed them off my salad. My husband had the tenderloin wrap and the waiter asked how do you like it cooked, he said medium and it was well. We had one drink each and would have had another but we weren’t asked and the waiter disappeared. I had to ask for a refill on my water. They may have gotten to big for their britches!

Wandered in after exploring the walking trail to the right side of the port. Liked the service, food, and beer here. Got the crispy calamari - really tasty! It came with a small serving of macaroni salad made with the smallest elbow noodles I have ever seen - which was delicious. I also ordered the caribbean rice which was some of the best we have had. Lots to like here. Well worth a visit!

We stay at the Renaissance next door every year yet this is the first time I’ve ever eaten at the West Deck. Why did I wait so long? We had a reservation for 5 people and asked to be up top as my mom is on a scooter and the lower area with stairs and high tops and picnic tables wouldn’t work for her. We had a beautiful table and were able to watch the sunset which was amazing! The service was really top notch. Our server Joanne was so friendly and treated us like family. Of course Francisco was there making sure everyone was have a great experience. We decided to do a sampler of appetizers to try as much as possible. The fried calamari was tender and lightly breaded and my dad just loved the cocktail sauce that came with it. I had the grouper bites and enjoyed them and the dipping sauce. We enjoyed the Gouda balls and my husband had a salad with tropical fruit strips in it. Delicious. Joanne had recommended the Keshi Yena a traditional Aruban dish of cheese and shredded chicken. It was mild and cheesy and delicious. Almost reminded me of a chicken enchilada minus the tortilla. They did not have a kids menu but she recommend appetizers that kids would like. My son (12) got the breaded chicken and fries and was happy. For dessert we shared a tres leche and again loved it. We actually ordered two but they had run out of it and only had one left. My mom and dad said a friend of theirs who is orders it when she arrives and asks them to put it aside for her as I guess they sell out frequently- what a compliment! At the end of the dinner my son dropped a hot wheels car under the deck and Derrick went out of his way to help my son retrieve it. Then refused a tip when we tried to thank him for his efforts. Definitely will be back and recommend to others!

We were able to make a reservation at 6:30pm on the docks on a Thursday night to catch the sunset and we had a party of 6 adults and a toddler. We were seated right by the entrance of the restaurant overlooking the ocean, and there was live music behind us, it was the perfect location. Our server Joanne was fantastic. Super friendly and even offered to help us take a group photo by the sunset on the walkway dock area and the pictures looked amazing! She made sure we had all our needs accommodated. We ordered the salad with fruits and the ceviche for appetizer. Salad was refreshing with the berries and pecans and raisins, but the ceviche was unfortunately too salty, though the fish & shrimp tasted very fresh. Coconut shrimp appetizer had a good crunch to it, and the sweet & sour dipping sauce was a great pair. The calamari was good as well, but wished the sauce was tarter instead because the batter was already well seasoned. Our family enjoyed the seafood duo; the shrimp was nicely done and fresh, and the Mahi Mahi was very well seasoned and cooked. My baby loved the pasta salad and rice that came as a side on the plate. Our friends ordered the whole baby red snapper and the spicy jerk shrimp and both loved the dish very much. The baby red snapper was bigger than we’d thought so it was a nice surprise. The mango-rita was SO good, and even the virgin strawberry colada was so refreshing as well. And my friend enjoyed the tamarin juice too, but found it a little too sweet, so dilute it with some water would taste better. The juice tasted sweet & sour and very much like a sour plum kinda drink which was delicious(if you like sour plum) We ended the dinner with flan and basically just ate everything up! LOVED our dining experience here and definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time to get a seat on the dock!! (The food was so good forgot to take pictures of it…oops!)

Wanted somewhere casual, fun, with good food for our first evening by the water! West Deck fit that perfectly! We did not have a reservation on Sat night and were seated promptly around 8 pm. Otherwise pretty full dining area. Crowded and a great steel drum entertainer! Mahi was excellent as appetizers, sliders and main. Daughter didn’t care for the red snapper filet as much as it was fishy tasting. Fun vibe, cute decor, and loved the local bread and macaroni sides. Thank you to Marline for great service and such a welcoming attitude! They have a newer lower deck area with picnic tables in the sand and a large square table that can seat 14 which I imagine is hard to find! We enjoyed the upper deck very much. They said if you make a reservation you can request upper or lower seating. There is a small bar with a few seats. There was plenty of parking and sits on a beautiful peninsula of sand to walk off some food and beverages. The supermoon was amazing from there. Check it out and enjoy!
