WOW WOW WOW....I have never written a review either positive or negative in my life. I was drawn to do so by the experience I just had at the Barefoot restaurant. I'm not sure what is better, the service or the food. This is a 5 star experience that the Barefoot delivers. If you read no further, MAKE A RESERVATION... More

Loved the food and the atmosphere! Loved being on the beach and watching the sunset to dinner was extremely romantic. The service was great and we will definitely be back at this amazing restaurant.

Another excellent "sunset viewing" restaurant in Aruba. Situated on the beach, slightly nicer ambiance than the Flying Fishbone and closer generally to the hotels. Service was efficient, perhaps a bit stand offish at times. Overall, very good, we'd return.

We ate here for our wedding anniversary in April 2015 (unfortunately I can only go back to October 2015 for the review), while visiting Aruba on a cruise. Cab fare was about $10 from the terminal. We were the first guests that evening and were treated to a special anniversary appetizer courtesy of the chef. Although we were concerned about... More

Awesome sitting out on the sand and hearing the water and enjoying the sunset. Great wait staff! Everyone had fish except me and I had the pineapple island chicken which was totally awesome! The fish of course was good too! Very relaxed atmosphere.

We visited Barefoot on our first night in Aruba upon recommendations from the hotel & on Trip Advisor. The location is great w/tables being located on the waters edge on the beach making it a very nice setting. The service was slow, taking over 15 minutes each time to order a drink, receive it, then order food. Once the meal... More

Aruba is all about the fabulous beaches during the day, and the many great restaurants at night. It is only logical that these two unique things of Aruba are combined into one! Luc & Gerco found the perfect spot to synergize great food, and a beautiful setting to create an experience almost unique on our island. When listening to the ocean caressing the shore, while wiggling your toes through the pearly white sand, why not let yourself be pampered by a gourmet dinner? Chef Gerco & Maitre d' Luc had a shared dream of opening up a restaurant here, but wanted something in line with what they enjoy on Aruba: the nearly perfect climate, the possibility to always be outside, the tropical feel... When opening their restaurant, they had these ideas in their heads, and it worked like a charm! Tables under a large palapa on a wooden deck with a view of the ocean, or outside under the Aruban nights sky, on the pristine beach... An original menu was created by Gerco and Justin, with some of the old school favorites (sirloin with bearnaise, or tuna steak with teriyaki) as well as some original dishes not found anywhere, with unique combinations (smoked salmon & shrimp, grouper & mango or leg & rack of lamb) and wonderful vegetarian dishes. With the help of the local wine suppliers, Luc made an extensive wine list, with wines from all over the world, and is always ready to pair a wine with your dinner. The experienced service team is friendly yet professional, ready to wow you from the moment you walk in, to make a fabulous evening into a great memory on Aruba!
