There was a special theme night at "de suikertuin" of which we bought tickets for. We were actually very excited of the surinamese dishes they had prepared this night. When all guests arrived we assumed that then the cook started to prepare all meals. We arrived around 7:33pm and got the appetizer around 9pm which in our opinion took pretty... More

It was my first time eating at De suikertuintje. Food was very tasty! The interior design of the restaurant is amazing!

The food was alright but it was hard to ignore the huge rat that lives in the back yard where we sat to eat. I woill avoid on future trips. D.

We found this place searching for the #1 breakfast spot in Aruba online. Somehow this restaurant came up on my maps. It's not listed as #1, but it's very very good we enjoyed a peaceful breakfast in a charming place. The interior is inviting, the service was great, and the food was just right. Simple food prepared well. We enjoyed... More

the ambiance is great. set up in an old house off the beaten path not quite in downtown. our lunch was good but not quite up to the standards presented on the website. we had hoped for their high tea but was disappointed when told it was a day ahead reservation? I don't remember seeing that on the website. we... More

We had lunch in De Suikertuin, and that was a real surprise! The restaurant is in a former Aruban house. The interior feels very comfortable and cozy. The food was excellent! If you get a change go to have a meal at De Suikertuin in Oranjestad, must do!

My family and I really enjoyed De Suikertuin. The place is gorgeous and the food is delish. I would recommend to everyone. I had the ham and cheese omelet and the pineapple pancake and both were delicious. My kids had the American pancakes and they liked it too, although they are nothing like "American" pancakes, but still yummy.

We went to the Suikertuin to grab a bite to eat and some shelter from the Aruban heat - it was perfect! Nice sandwiches and pastries, also good value for money.

We didn't necessarily feel like shelling out twenty or thirty dollars a piece for our hotel's breakfast, so we ventured out each morning to find breakfast in Oranjestad. One of our favorite finds was De Suikertuin. The little restaurant is not far from Fort Zoutman, but can be a little hard to find if you haven't mapped it out and... More

This is a nice place for lunch when in downtown Oranjestad. The Nasi Goreng is our favorite dish. They have a beautiful patio area in the back to eat on. It is easy to walk to. Paid street parking is available.

We discovered this little gem of a cafe while on holidays in Aruba, gorgeous healthy food for very good value. Really worth a trip. It is located in the same street as the police station and El Gauchos. Breakfast and lunch from 8 am to 4pm..
