We stumbled upon the bistro kinda by accident and it turned into one of our favorite dining experiences of all time !! A wonderful blend of local inspired cuisine mixed with euro vibes as well as Venezuelan and other Latin flavors. The service is outstanding, Ellie was our server on our first night and she was wonderful. She was incredibly knowledgeable and also gave us many great recommendations for other great local places. A definite stop if you're in Aruba and you don't want to eat "resort" food. The dining areas are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen.

This is one of my favorite restaurants and I’ve been to many around the world. The garden is adorable and the interior is so cozy. We immediately fell in love with the place. We were excited to try the nasi goreng, which was so delicious and a very healthy portion. We wanted to stay all day. And our server was very sweet , super attentive, and we enjoyed chatting with her about her history. This is one of those places that makes you want to visit the island again just to have a meal there.

The food was really good i loved the little complimentary starter that they give you when you sit down. I had the truffle pasta wich was excellent. My little brother had the burger wich was also great. Our server was one of the best servers I’ve had on the island in a long time. I forgot his name but he was a bald dutch guy, extremely attentive and professional i’d be back just for the service.

First time trying this restaurant we had high hopes after years of waiting to try it . Service was extremely slow waited over 25 mins to order after being seated only 2 other tables dining .I ordered the Tuna Steak was not the type of Tina Steak I’ve ever had, it was not medium rare , it was dry and chewy. It’s was tan , maybe not quality Tuna ? We also , had to go inside twice to ask for service . Disappointed

After we ordered, the power went out. No problem, happens more often in Aruba. We had already ordered our sandwich, I had brie with nuts and goat cheese, so hot dish. So I was served a cold brie sandwich without saying anything. She took it and she would put a blowtorch on it which resulted in a warm top and very cold inside of just the brie, absolutely no success. If, after the power went out, she had said it would be a cold brie sandwich, I would have picked another nice sandwich. I said something about it and got into a fight with the waitress. I had to pay for the full pound, that was a bit disappointing.... Furthermore, a cozy, nice restaurant...

Went here for lunch with a group of 7 people. Seeing an old Aruban house was the highlight of the lunch. We had high expectations for breads and pastries. However, we ordered a plate of breads and it was sandwich bread quartered. I had the curry chicken and it was good. For my husbands’ grain/gluten/dairy free lunch he got the fish skewers with vegetables. He said it was tasty. The other people in our group got a sandwich and the Nasi goren: fried rice, fried egg, chicken skewer with peanut sauce. They thought is lacking some taste. The wait for the food was long. Based on the bread we did not order desserts.

My husband and I had dinner here several times during our stay in Aruba and we loved the place! I especially recommend the High Wine offer, where you get a bottle of wine and a huge selection of absolutely delicious tapas, specially made by the Chef for you (you have to book it 1 day in advance). It’s fine dining (but the kind where you don’t leave feeling hungry) at an extremely reasonable price - 32$ pp. We always made reservations for the back garden, which is charming and fairytale-like. The staff was also a big plus for us: really nice, warm people, who are very good at their job!

This has been on my list of top restaurants in Aruba since we first went there over 4 years ago. Since then I have recommended it hundreds of times to friends and colleagues. A few months ago we took a friend and the chicken in the chicken cordon bleu was not up to their usual delicious standard, so we were worried that it might be going downhill. When we went back last week, all our fears were erased. The meal was absolutely fabulous! The amuse included some kind of teriyaki fish that was incredible. We would have ordered it for the main course, if we could. We love their pumpkin bisque so much that it is difficult not to get it every time. They have recently updated their menu (which is why I'm updating this review) and now have a fish trio that is a combination of grouper, salmon, and shrimp. It was absolutely fantastic. My wife had salmon with a sun dried tomato tapenade and she said it was wonderfully delicious. We love the food and atmosphere here and it is a much better value than many of the other high-end restaurants on the island.

This was our third time at Bistro. The staff is amazing, and the food is very reasonably priced. We went 2x in 2 weeks and with tip, our meals totaled 40.00 and 47.00 each time. It located just past the center of town, two streets inland. The best value restaurant on the island by far. It is worth a trip! Very diverse menu.

We had a lovely dining experience with a great ambiance and delicious meal. We will definitely return. The short ribs were outstanding as was the blue cheese crusted filet. The accompaniments were baby bok choy and roasted potato. An amuse bouche of pumpkin soup shot and a coconut shrimp were yummy! The property is an old Aruban style house with a courtyard and a porch. This provided several options for dining. The service was excellent, Wine selection was very good.

We went here on the recommendation of a fellow holiday maker. The Service was very good as was the food. I had the Mushroom Gratin, followed by the chicken and vegetable curry, which was accompanied by rice and a naan bread. My husband had the Mexican chicken soup to start, followed by Nasi Goreng which he also loved. The waitress was very helpful with making choices and offering go swap out anything we didn’t want included in the meal. All tasted very fresh and piping hot.

We happened into this little gem looking for a less expensive alternative since we had been dining at many of the lovely restaurants in Aruba after 2 weeks. Same day reservation was easily achieved in fb messenger for 2. Asked to be seated inside as they do have air bit not cold just refreshing. Amiable atmosphere in this old Aruban home.We Ate simply ; husband had an burger topped with bacon and egg served with fries which was very good and I ordered fish which they said was grouper upon sending waitress back to ask. She didn’t know initially. It was topped with Brie which was an unusual combination with a full plate of mashed potato and sautéed green pepper. As I am not a pepper fan and the potatoes were heavy ,I might of liked rice and a different side.I wish they had the unicorn fish that night as I was anxious to try and they featured before and after our visit! Meal is priced in florins which I didn’t realize or I might of ordered differently. When the bill came , it was very reasonable with US dollars listed for the credit card.

My friend and I were touring downtown Oranjestad when through a chance encounter we received a recommendation to go to this restaurant. We had a little difficulty finding it due to GPS shortcomings or ours. However, it was well worth bumbling through this cool part of town. The bistro was absolutely charming and we sat in the courtyard. Unbeknownst to us, we were dining at a 100+ year old Aruban Cunucu house. I had the French soup and the carpaccio and they were both delicious. What a special find in Aruba.

We went to this restaurant without any high expectations. Left the restaurant surprised by the tasty food and drinks, impressed by the service and happy for the amazing staff that has been very kind and friendly even though we came in for dinner only half hour before the kitchen was closed. You could tell all the dishes were made at the moment. And ending this beautiful experience with an amazing dessert “Dutch apple pie” squisito (Italian word for delicious). We are not easily impressed by restaurants but THIS ONE deserves 5 stars and a well written review. Thank you guys!

This is a unique little Dutch restaurant in a very old Conucu house. It offers an excellent range of food, at good prices and served by very well trained Dutch staff. It has both indoor and outdoor dining. The atmosphere is wonderful for both a quick 1 hr meal or a luxurious 2 hr dinner. We have eaten here each of the 5 yrs it has been in existence and have never been disappointed.
