This restaurant may excel for Non-Spanish customers but Spanish customers will notice the food lacks the taste of a great cuban cuisine. The food is certainly edible but it won't knock your socks off, the bill definitely will. There are better places in Aruba in...the same price range. One and done for me.. My wife had the "ropa vieja" and I had the Cuban Mofongo.. Both entrees came cold to the table, not sure why since we had dinner before the crowd arrived for the evening rush. The service is super slow as they seemed to be understaffed.. One thing that bothered us the most, we noticed they served us the smallest glass of water in the entire restaurant while other tables, served before and after us, were getting bigger size glass of water... Did they singled us out because we were of Spanish decent? I don't know, but they won't see me again. I will definitely NOT recommend this place.More

Looking for a place to eat in the vicinity of the Renaissance Resort we walked by Cuba’s Cooking. I have eaten there before and love their Ropa Vieja so I suggested we go there. We were not disappointed. As a matter of fact, we had...a wonderful time. Besides my usual Ropa Vieja my wife and our guest had the Grouper. And as always I ordered an extra portion of Fried Plantains. The food was excellent. We were entertained by a Cuban Gentleman who I believe is called Ramón. He plays the guitar and sings. We danced and sang along to various of the Boleros and Merengues. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and will surely go back.More

Confusion empanadas and espresso martini were amazing!! Good mai tai, too. We just came here for drinks and apps and it was delicious, I wish we could’ve come back for a full meal.

This was a family trip of 12. My family's first time in Aruba. My sister and her family come every year and this is one of their favorite restaurants. Cuba's Cookin' did not disappoint. Great food, music and salsa dancing

We tried Cuba’s Cookin’ a few years back, and all of us thought the (various dishes) food was wonderful. We said we’d get back there someday, and today my husband/I went there for lunch. Many menu choices looked very good, but we both decided to...get the fish wrap and it was so delicious! My husband got his wrap with fries, and I asked to substitute my fried for sweet plantains - they were SO good. Once again great food, with very good, friendly service - easy to give this restaurant an Excellent rating; we’ll be sure to return, again.More

I celebrated my birthday at Cuba cookin. Let me tell you wow !! The atmosphere was perfect. Live music in a beautiful restaurant right in Oranjestad. The food was amazing. We started off with the best mojito we ever had, then the empanadas combo, then...chicken in olives. Let me tell you that chicken dish was the best ever. I want that recipe. The glaze on the chicken was heaven. I can still taste it. Thanks for a great time. I won’t forget. If you are traveling to Aruba Don’t miss this place!!!!More

On every visit to Aruba, we have dinner at Cuba's Cookin'. The food, drinks, and live music produce an atmosphere that feels authentically Cuban.

My family all enjoyed what we had for lunch. They had a nice lunch special that included a Cuban sandwich. It was huge and seemed like a good deal compared to other lunch specials we saw. This restaurant is in the marketplace, has live music...at night, and always seemed to have a big crowd when we walked by to and from the Renaissance.More

Stopped here for dinner. It was across the street from our hotel and had live music. It was a one man band but he was quite entertaining. The food was pretty good. My friend ordered the beef empanadas, which she liked. I ordered the olive...chicken which came with plantains, white rice and black beans. The chicken was very moist and tasty! Drinks were good as well...we has the cuba Libre and margaritas. Worth the stop.More

Yes the beer selection is limited. However the beer they did have is tasty and the cocktails were fabulous! The food is one of the best I have had in the Caribbean.
