We don't usually go out for breakfast, but we tried Island Fusion and were very impressed. I had an omelet which was perfectly cooked, and my wife had poached eggs which were done just the way she likes them. We sat outside behind the dining room and enjoyed the view of the harbor, which was very relaxing. Based on this experience, we would gladly return for one of the other meals.

Very nice lunch after a couple of dives at the adjacent DiveCarib. At EC$150 the curried lobster wasn’t exactly cheap, but it was a very good sized portion and the sides of veggies and steamed rice were perfectly cooked, with the sauce itself the star of the show - just the right amount of spice to give a subtle burn without overpowering the flavour of the lobster. The lobster was a bit on the well done side, so slightly chewy for me, but that’s personal preference.

The restaurant felt like there was no one else there, which can be taken whichever way you like. We ate at the gazebo behind the main building, which had a very nice view of the bay. The food was absolutely magnificent. The chicken fricassee was one of, if not the best chicken I've ever had. I still think about it sometimes. The coconut cream pie was also spectacular, but it didn't even feel like a pie, it was without form. Everything else at the table was amazing. The people working there were very friendly, and even the cook came up and talked to us for a time. Amazing eating experience, would go again next time in Antigua.

I had been looking forward to my meal at Island Fusion all week. It had been recommended by fellow guests staying at my hotel. It was my last meal in Antigua before returning home and sadly it was such a disappointment and left a bad taste in my mouth in more ways than one.
The setting, to give credit, is beautiful. Overlooking the harbour it was the perfect view.
The attitude of the waitresses left a huge amount to be desired. Slow, disinterested, and frankly unfriendly. They had no track of my reservation despite receiving confirmation. I was seated and requested to change seats and have my back to the view of the harbour so that the restaurant staff could get past (even though there was plenty of room). I wasn’t there to enjoy the view of the back of their kitchen! The waitresses didn’t check in on how things were, I had to order dessert twice and when paying they sneakily didn’t give an itemised bill. This meant that they include service charge (a small line at bottom of menu, granted) and then asked for a tip on top. When I said I didn’t want to tip for the service (or lack of) the subsequent attitude was hostile and I wasn’t even bid goodbye.
The food was unremarkable. The brownie which was delivered had rum ice cream (not my thing - and a bit of a suspense not to have vanilla). The fish sandwich was fine.
All in all - you can do much better elsewhere. A shame the staff (minus the friendly chef) let the side down. Sad to finish my time in Antigua on a bad note. Avoid!

Having read the mouthwatering reviews of Chef Sandra’s curried lobster, we contacted her in advance to see if we could get it on the menu for our visit. She did! And it was AMAZING.
Also amazing was the seafood chowder to start - the perfect amount of ‘peppery-ness’ to cream.
Would highly recommend :-). Best meal of the week.

My wife and I visited Antigua for our honeymoon and we booked Island Fusion for Boxing Day. My wife is vegan and we often struggle (particularly in the Caribbean) so I emailed ahead of time to make sure they could cater for us, and they said they could.
While we were in Antigua some strict COVID rules were enacted and Sandra and her team reached out to us straight away to let us know we'd need to move the booking. I wasn't the easiest person to reach, being at the bottom of the Carribean Sea on a diving trip at the time, with my phone in the safe in the room... But they moved heaven and earth to get in touch and eventually we brought the booking forward a couple of hours.
Having arrived at the restaurant we sat down and Sandra had prepared a special meal for my wife (vegan bolognese). I had the Lobster Bisque starter. It was quite possibly the best starter I've ever had. The main course (curried goat) wasn't as good (how could it have been?) but it was still awesome. Service great, local beers cold and delicious and the bill was very reasonable.
We got chatting to Sandra and she offered to make a special vegan cheesecake should we want to return. Unsurprisingly we did! Second time around it was just as good (I had the lobster bisque again, as well as Lobster curry for main). The cheesecake was great.
It's important to say that this isn't fine dining - it's hearty, home-cooked, delicious, authentic food, with friendly service. It's the best restaurant on the island for a reason.
If you do have a dietary need, let them know first and you will be taken care of.
Thank you Sandra - Happy New Year
Tom

Ate as a couple at this restaurant for dinner.
It was the 3rd attempt at trying to eat there (we were keen to try it based on the excellent reviews) and we were rewarded for our persistence! The first time we arrived at 8pm to be told that dinner was by reservation only as they only stay open if there was guests in the evening; the other time it was they were shut for the day (Wednesday). When we finally managed to eat there, having booked via facebook/Whatsapp messaging, we were the only ones in the restaurant. The restaurant in withing the Sailing School complex and has a raised gazebo veranda adorned with fairy lights overlooking the water... beautiful!
The food was excellent, local cuisine with great flavours.
We had the crab cake starter to share followed by the curried goat and the Caribbean stewed chicken. Local cocktails were great and they were happy to make different flavours on request.
Staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive, and the restaurant had a local family run vibe.
Price was very reasonable considering the excellent meal and service.
Would highly recommend.

Due to Covid-19 we were not able to enjoy Sandra’s cooking in restaurant but in a private setting during our stay on Antigua. Her food and hospitality were amazing and the local Antiguan dishes she prepared were wonderful. She has a love for cooking and for authentic cuisine and it shines through in her presentation, delivery, and flavor. Her meals prepared for us were some of the best we have ever had and a wonderful way for us to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We hope to return to visit with Sandra again at Island Fusion watching the Sailing Academy students practice and to of course enjoy her fabulous cuisine!

We only discovered Sandra and her restaurant very recently but we have been enjoying it ever since.
The food is is delicious and unpretentious and served by Sandra and her very helpful and friendly staff what more could you ask for. So far we have enjoyed the curried lobster, goatcurry, the salmon fillet, the homemade burger, jerk pork and everything was delicious and well cooked.
We are very lucky to have such a great place so close by and we take full advantage. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner but it is best to ring and reserve a table especially during the busy season. We will be back again very soon!!

My wife and I went for dinner and I drove by it every day before lockdown what a fool. It`s fabulous. Sandra and her crew are lovely.
It has amix of US/ europe food which I havent tred yet and beautiful West Indian dishes. I had an excellent goat curry and my wife had a very tasty lobster with adelicious sauce.
What is so great about it is it fills the gap between really upmarket like Catherines and street Jerk.
You can sit comfortable with a lovely view over the harbour and when you`ve had your curry don`t miss out on the fabulous cocnut cream pie. In fact just writing about makes what to go and have a slice now.
Go, you won`t be disappointed and it`s reasonably priced for what it is . A lovely place.

I looked on Trip Advisor for a restaurant to host a Dinner for 20 people before my trip to Antigua and Sandra’ Island Fusion popped up. I called to see if she did large parties and she said yes. My guest count quickly changed to 25 the day before the event and she jumped into action to make it happen and gave us an unbelievable experience. From start to finish from the drinks to the food there was nothing untouched. She did her thing in a kitchen the size of one my bathroom (exaggeration of course) . Everyone was satisfied and more, everyone raved about her Curry Goat , the Curry Lobster and her Escovich Fish not to mention her Rice and Peas which you can eat as meal by it self the way it tasted. I can not complain continue to do your thing Sandra and remain #1. The View on English Harbour unmatched.

Sandra came with 2 helpers to serve a 3 course dinner at our villa while on holiday for 2 weeks. It was such a treat for many reasons. Firstly, Sandra and her helpers were great fun and treated us so well. The communication with her in the run up was easy flexible and just what we wanted. The food she cooked was simply delicious and she made it all look very simple. Crab cakes, Mahi Mahi fish with rice and veg and bread pudding with run sauce. Elegant, tasty and so lovely to be served up in our own home. It seemed effortless and they made it feel special without without feeling stuffy or forced. Would definitely recommend Sandra and her crew!

Pizzas and salad is my favorite lunch offering and the curried goat, lobster and bbq chicken all solid bets here for dinner. Friendly staff and nice setting. She closes early on Wednesday, or call for a reservation to accommodate a bigger group. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed the food. I had the jerk chicken and my gf had the jerk pork. Sandra also brought out stuff to try: fried dumplings and curry goat! We loved talking to her and the view is great!
