What more can I say. Turned up on a Thursday evening having booked on the day and squeezed us in. Great welcome as you come in the door and shown to your seat in this lovely building. They do have a children's menu with a good portion of steak and triple cooked chips. We all had our bread, starters, mains... More

My sister and I treated my husband to dinner for his birthday. We ordered a lamb dish and 2 fish dishes followed by sticky toffee pudding and Bakewell tart these were delicious. We have visited several times when we are in the area and have never been disappointed. A great meal with friendly staff.

Lovely food -tasty varied menus - good hosts and interesting building (former village school). Possible to park nearly outside on the road. Not open Sunday lunches, but especially suitable for celebration meals,. or there is an early-bird menu for families.

If you like Seafood, this restaurant must be on a top priority to visit. It is smart and modern with comfortable seating on well spaced tables in elegant surrounding's of an old village school house. I started with Prawn and Fresh Crab cocktail which was lovely and a good portion of both fish. This was followed by a Fish Mixed... More

Excellent food. Lovely presentation. Friendly , knowledgeable staff. We went for a family meal and could not fault the evening. The wine was also very good and the prices were realistic for the quality

Following reccomendations, i went to the laughing monk with my family on wednesday evening. As a family of four we decided to book in advance, which was a wise decision. Service was good and children are made extremely welcome. The food was delicious, i had the lamb which was cooked perfectly and not fatty at all. The seafood mixed grill... More

A quiet unpretentious place with plenty of space around the tables, which serves great food with good service. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

My partner pre booked the restaurant. We thought we might be late for our reservation and the restaurant were very accommodating with our timings. As it was we were on time. The Laughing Monk is an old school house, and therefore high ceilings and roomy. The evening menu was typical of high end restaurants; short on choice, but quality is... More

You need to book in advance! I have never had a restaurant on telling them of my egg intolerance, mark out the menu with what I cannot eat and suggestions.... amazing attention to detail. We loved the food here... Would highly recommend and the view on the way, passed Blackpool sands was stunning!!
