We wouldn't have noticed this lovely place, but found the reviews on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. What a fabulous setting, there was a wedding on at the time we had an early dinner, I can see why, the staff were excellent, beautifully dressed, I had the best Mei Goreng, my partner was impressed with his pork belly. The... More

Having meals here is always a delight. The restaurant is set in a beautiful beach front Taman Bhagawan. The Indonesian food selection was superb. From Nasi Goreng, Nasi Campur, Sop Buntut, the herbal drinks (Suwe Ora Jamu brand) were always fresh and delicious. A great place to entertain guests to showcase Indonesian dishes in an hour Le charm setting (the... More

It was shocking for us how nice this place was (a beautiful big garden, the restaurant looking like a temple) and how hidden and contrasting to the street tumultuous noise. More shocking was for us the prices (how cheap) for such good food in a 5 star hotel ambiance. Must do in Bali.

We visit this venue during the Jazz Market by the Sea 2016. This venue is perfect for a big wedding reception or big event. They provide a perfect public facilities such as pools, beach, toilets with shower. And it is located at Tanjung Benoa area. about 45 minutes from Ngurah Rai Airport. And quite near from Sanur area.

On a Tuesday evening we newly missed this restaurant which is part of the very large Taman Bargawan function complex. On the street side is a large car park which was fairly dark and deserted. We actually walked into the complex and looked around before leaving. Luckily the security attendant called out and took us on a long walk to... More

A really beautiful place where you can enjoy the ocean view and get fantastic inside of balinese/indonese cuisine. Very friendly and helpful staff and a great green garden with lovely indonesian sculpture. We can recommend it highly for couples or families.

We had lunch at Paon Doeloe on the last day of our stay. The service is very good and although the lunch menu is not huge the choices are plentiful. The restaurant is set on the beach amongst the most beautiful gardens. We had Nasi Goreng Kampoeng and Behun Goreng. Both were beautifully presented and the servings were large. A... More

I love Taman Bhagawan. It's spacious green garden, rich traditional Javanese art, beach view and tranquilness make it the place perfect for an escape from routine. Paon Doeloe Restaurant is located at Taman Bhagawan. You're going to love the authentic Indonesian food with a modest price. I would suggest a lazy lunch at Paon Doeloe. Or simply enjoy the afternoon... More

Went at lunch, quiet and relaxed, got a good pint. We got Indonesian fare. The food looked nice with good authentic taste. But the pork was a bit tough. Service excellent, staff friendly. Opportunity to snap some nice photos. Not expensive.

Paon Doeloe is the main restaurant at Taman Bhagawan, with a name inspired by the traditional kitchen, which serves as the heart and soul of every Indonesian household. This unpretentious beachfront restaurant takes form in an authentic Javanese Joglo house with an infinity swimming pool that enjoys views of Tanjung Benoa Beach and Mount Agung.
The Joglo structure features a high pyramid-like roof, constructed to resemble a mountain, which is supported by four main wooden support columns known as saka guru. Elegant colonial-style table settings and comfortable sofas with batik cushions for an indigenous dining experience have become the trademark of this Bali's most unique dining spot.
For a more intimate experience, enjoy a picnic-style dining experience with rustic bamboo mats and colourful cushions which are available across the lawn under the canopy of trees while enjoying the enchanting Javanese songs and the gentle breeze of the ocean and the magnificent backdrop of the majestic Mount Agung.
Within only 30 minutes from Bali's international airport and nestled within the manicured grounds of Taman Bhagawan, Paon Doeloe is open daily for lunch and dinner from 10am to 10pm, and is Bali's leading tropical lifestyle facility for leisurely hours to soak up the sun and sophisticated evenings enhanced by Indonesian and Asian fusion favourites.
To augment the dining experience, this semi open-air venue has spaces adorned with various traditional ornaments such as Javanese statues, vases, and other art pieces from across Indonesia. Vintage decor such as old becak rickshaws and andong horse carts are found in certain spaces inside and out.
The ethnic concept extends to the cuisine. Local and regional cuisine colour the menu at Paon Doeloe. It serves as a great place for those looking forward to trying out exotic flavours during their Bali holiday, and is also the go-to spot to indulge in the ultimate Balinese, Indonesian and Southeast Asian all-day dining experience with friends and family.
The variety of cuisine is available ala carte, with several set menu options available for lunch and dinner. Diners can opt for the cosy indoors or go alfresco under subtly lit lanterns hanging from trees with spectacular ocean views and gentle sea breezes - perfect for romantic beachfront dinners. Romantic packages complete the experience.
