Visited on a cold, rainy November weekday afternoon - the staff were welcoming, and the hot chocolate was spot-on. Both chicken and cheese/pickle sandwiches weren't bad either

Hello and thank you for your review. We're very pleased you enjoyed your visit - even on a wet day in November! We do get busy in the summer when the weather's good enough to enjoy our Tea Garden by the river. Hope to see you again. Karen More

In November, on Monday, at 10 o'clock I telephoned Granny Dowbekins to order some gingerbread to be delivered to my home. It arrived at 11 o'clock on Tuesday. Amazing service. ( Pretty good postal service, too.) The gingerbread was well packed and arrived in perfect condition. Included in the box was a postcard of the history of Pooley bridge and... More

Breakfast on Sunday at Granny's is always special. Beautiful bacon and eggs and I know I can rely on it to be totally gluten free with lovely gluten free toast. Staff always very pleasant. As we have closed up our caravan for the winter we will see you next March.

Whether it's breakfast or cake, the food is delicious. For a community hit by floods less than a year ago, they are doing well to keep up the good standard. The staff are also friendly and welcoming. We visited for afternoon tea and later in the week for breakfast, we enjoyed both occasions.
