As not from the area, we were looking for somewhere to stop and grab a bite to eat. When visiting Pooley Bridge we came across this place. Staff were friendly. Food was amazing. Big portions for the price we paid. Definitely be going back if we are in the area.

We enjoyed a beautiful Sunday lunch here after a walk in the area. Our Scottish Terrier was made most welcome. Great atmosphere and the Sunday lunch highly recommended. We would definitely visit again if in the area. Thumbs up, keep up the excellent customer service and food.

Having visited this establishment some 18 months ago and received an excellent service , meal etc etc . We thought we would visit again , oh what a mistake. Bar staff very disinterested in the customer quite happy to stand and chat to each other whilst serving , ordered food and expected the same quality , again what a very... More

first time visit since new landlord took over. Enjoyed a good meal and drinks. Holidaymakers were made very welcome. Pet friendly. Plenty of parking.

Came for dinner and the food was really good. Hearty and freshly cooked and massive portions. Really friendly service and it was quick at even a busy time. Not so pleased with the lack of choice of quality lager (not a fan of BUD on draft) but that is being really picky. Loved it and would definitely recommend. Well done.

We just happened to pass this place so went in for tea, it has such a homely feel and the food was lovely! The staff were so nice and friendly. I would absolutely come here again.

great place to visit, staff are great, good selection of beers and a good choice of food from the menu. Ate there both in the evening (can reccomend the pie!) and at lunchtime (sandwiches are great). Manager is a great guy, staff are friendly and a great way to while away the hours sitting next to the log fire. If... More

We popped in for a lunchtime meal and stayed for a while as it was lovely and warm even though the fires weren't lit, and the sofa was comfy. The food was good and warming and reasonably priced. We made good use of the free wifi as the reception at our cottage was intermittent. We will call in again when... More

My partner and I had lunch here on a quiet Friday afternoon. We both had panini's and sweet potato fries (which were some of the best I'd had). The atmosphere was friendly and comfortable, the staff were lovely and attentive. I would definitely recommend this to any visitors of the Pooley Bridge area.

Visited for lunch with family on Sunday lunchtime. The pub was warm and cosy with some 19th century charm. Service was efficient. Food came out quickly and was fairly priced for the quality.
