The food was excellent and so was the service!!! Being from St Louis.... the BBQ and sweet tea were on point! Amazing view while eating. Nice stop out of town away from the hustle and bustle of the city!

I spotted this restaurant several months ago and the name tickled me. Dinner did not disappoint! Very good BBQ and the portions were generous.

After a fire at the new location a week after they first opened, the Armpit is back as of Feb 11 on Friday-Sunday. Check Facebook for the latest updates.

We've been here several times and keep coming back because the BBQ is sooooo good. We've had the Ribs which are outstanding and the pulled pork (can't go wrong with this pick) the cornbread is amazingly good. Also took dessert home for later......delicious!!!!
We have been coming to Turnagain Arm Pit BBQ all year and we love it! With monthly visits we eat-in, call ahead, or use the drive thru. It's especially convenient for us when we go to the movies in midtown. Fast, friendly, and great food!

Perhaps I'm spoiled being from Tennessee and having Memphis Barbecue and Carolina Barbecue available, and a big fan of St. Louis barbecue too. The pulled pork was quite dry, but fortunately they do have good sauces here. I experimented with each sauce and even mixed...More
Yes it is a catchy name but our BBQ was somewhat dry with not much sauce and the bun was about as cheap quality one can get. We ate here twice and when they opened in Anchorage, well never went as I can buy great...More
