The best thing about Dining in Rarotonga is the Fresh Seafood and produce on offer. Tumunu is no exception, their seafood platter was the best I have ever eaten. and incredible value for money

Great little setup, great food and amazing service, even with a hint of cheek. Food good portions and very fresh. Staff very friendly and helpful. And when you are so full at the end of your meal and thinking how will I get up, the girls behind the bar will offer you a wheelbarrow ride (that is where the cheeky... More

expensive as but worth it. Still think NZ has the best seafood. we shared a seafood platter for two and 90% was amazing. Kids had prawn dishes and loved them. You had to pay for water. music was up loud there for a while with some folk a little rowdy, put my kids using the toilet and I would have... More

We called in here for dinner and was met by a waitress telling us they were fully booked and then we looked at the cocktail menu to see it was quite expensive, nice atmosphere though

Once again whilst out exploring the island we came across Tumunu, we booked in for dinner and enjoying a bountiful seafood platter for two. Their was everything you would expect in a seafood platter and more, it was so large that we didn't think that the two of us could get through it but alas we did. The history and... More

We loved this restaurant , looks like island style and had some character about it. The staff were very friendly and service great. The meals were huge , we recommend the steak of chicken schnitzel with mushrooms, also the garlic bread.

This was our 6th time here over a period of about 10 years. Always wonderful service, wonderful staff, not enough can be said about the quality, flavor and preparation of the food. The venue itself is just, plain fun, as is the owner. The Tumunu is always one of our regular spots.

Kia orana Thanks for your review. Really happy that you enjoyed the Tumunu - it is almost 38 years old and quite ecclectic. Have to admit though, this is the first to say that the food is awful! I am assuming you are only referring to whatever youi ordered and not all of the meals on the menu. Still can... More

A great quirky casual dining experience. Opened since 1979 it still has the same owners and the same name. It is a mix of eclectic and local island decor. The walls feature an array of photos of events, people and things. The ceilings are a collage of various types of posters etc. The Tumunu Garden Restaurant also features the "largest little notebook" on the island. Come visit us! A fun place for children too with a garden and "dancing laser fire flys"
