Went for lunch on day after Christmas! On a wait but worth it. I tried the boiled shrimp and it was delicious. There is a varied menu of seafood selections. A large bar and playground for kids. Waitress was fun and efficient.

Great atmosphere and great food. Fun place to eat and a local favorite. If you only eat at one restaurant during your stay this should be it.

I wrote this place up 3 years ago and I'm happy to report it is as good as ever. The Oysters were terrific and the Grouper Sandwich was as good as it gets. If you're anywhere near Peggy Leg Pete's, be sure you go there and have a meal. You won't be dissapointed

If you love oysters, they make these several ways, both raw and cooked and they are the highlight of the menu. Cooked include Imperial (stuffed with crabmeat) and Rockefeller and also one made with bacon. They are to die for! Steamed shrimp was great too and fresh. The wine list is OK for Florida but nothing to write home about.... More

It's a tourist trap and it doesn't apologize about that. It's big, but it was still fairly busy on a Tuesday evening in early December. The menu was sticky, but it had everything you could imagine on it. The waitress was fun and sassy, but she did everything right and knew the menu well. We had a nice dinner there.... More

We checked into our hotel and I asked the Bellman if he could recommend a good place for seafood. I don't get to the Gulf often enough and seafood sounded great. He suggested Peg Leg Petes. We went there the next night. I had really been looking forward to it. Our server, I think his name was Nik, was friendly... More

If you love seafood this is a must for anyone. There is a sand pit playground for the kids. Plenty of seating (In or out). The food is always amazing. From the fried shrimp, Oysters Rockefeller to the Grouper. Plenty to choose from, even the kids menu is has variety. The atmosphere is definitely a layed-back-beach-bum-kinda-day. The drink menu contributes... More

When we got there the main dining room was closed for maintenance/renovations, so we ate in the bar area downstairs. It was a fun atmosphere, with friendly service. I had a very good grouper sandwich. Unfortunately, my husband was very disappointed with his boiled shrimp...small and not much flavor. We aren't from the area, so probably won't be retuning.
