Food choices are limited and pricey, but you won't find a view like this anywhere else. The back wall of the snack shop has large picture windows. We saw elk grazing on the hillside and a marmet sunning itself on a nearby rock. The shop has a large selection of items and reasonable prices.

I have been going to this place since I was very young and I am now in my 40's. The alpine center is always crowded for good reason (this time we had to loop around few times to get in parking lot as full) but it is worth it to walk up and smell/see the beautiful Tundra. We always take... More

The highest visitor center and restaurant in the park, and the only place to get hot food- had a surprisingly wide selection of sandwiches, salads, soups, and chili. I got the chili- it was really pretty dang good especially on top of a cold, alpine mountain! The views in the snack bar are incredible too. Cheap lunch stop for visitors... More

We didn't end up eating at the cafe but I did appreciate this being here so we could stock up on snacks. I was getting tired of the snacks we had so getting some kettle chips, vitamin water and some oreos really perked me up. The gift shop area is huge and full of people, the cafe itself is relatively... More

This is in most ways a typical tourist trap ~ & almost too busy to maneuver around in during the summer. The snack bar is order-at-the-counter (fast & furious) but there are lots of tables, some with great views across the Rockies. Food is typical tourist fare ~ & expensive. But you are in a national park with gorgeous surroundings,... More

The Alpine Center is one of our favorite places in RMNP, and the journey to the top affords the visitor one spectacular view after another. It was especially fun this June because there was so much snow still up at the top. We were slightly disappointed because the stairway up to the top of the alpine tundra was blocked by... More

Our family visited Rocky Mountain National Park today and ate at the Trail Ridge Snack Bar. Hot dog = $5.75 and was like eating jerky without the good jerky taste. Ham & cheese sandwich that you grab out of a refrigerated case = $9.75. Hamburger = $8.00. With chips, food and drinks, we shelled out close to $45 for sub-par... More

I loved the gift shop, so much to look at both unique and typical touristy stuff. Decent prices. We bought a nice hoodie on clearance there for $20 which is on the bottom level in the back. Did not go to the restaurant but might have considering there was a 15% of coupon in the local restaurant guide

Perfect place to stop for a snack and drink and maybe a few souvenirs. There are great views from the back of the store/snack shop.

This snack bar is very similar to most snack bars located on mountain tops throughout the country. It's always a pleasure to sit down and refresh yourself with a snack and enjoy the views. The menu is limited but it's fine as it is.
