The location of the lodge is spectacular. That's the only reason for 2 stars. The food is extremely expensive and either horribly bland or over seasoned with the wrong things. Also very small portions. My recommendation would be to stop and look at the lovely lake, then continue down the road to Port Angeles for real food at a reasonable... More

Don't expect gourmet food or reasonable prices. We ate the smoked salmon and fish and chips. Waiter was attentive, cappuccino was Luke warm.

Expensive horrible food. Dry and bland salmon for dinner, microwaved breakfast was again extremely bland (and cold and soggy - seriously, I can't emphasize enough how obvious it was that everything was microwaved and super bland), cheeseburger for dinner was again, microwaved, and the lettuce was soggy and limp. I try to find the positive, but 3 meals consistently disappointed... More

I always feel like I'm stepping back in time when visiting the Lake Crescent Lodge. The dining room has a view of the lake which is lovely. If you like steamed clams, I recommend them!

Room as expected for national park motel. Basic, clean, breathtaking view. Historical lodge was beautiful, delightful gift shop attendant. Food at dinner was disappointing, service was inattentive. I sent back a dish uneaten and waiter made no comment about removing the full dish. Venison ragout was a pasty thick bland gravy with small bits of mystery meat. Smoked salmon was... More

This was our first stop on our long weekend visit to the Olympic Peninsula. The Lodge is a throw back to a different era as we enjoyed a late lunch on the verandah facing the lake. A cool breeze came as we enjoyed the scenery of the lake and the mountains. The food was very good and filling as we... More

We ate dinner at the lovely restaurant at Lake Crescent Lodge. The appetizers were marvelous - fresh salads and heirloom tomatoes. A real treat. Three of us ordered salmon, that was served on a bed of black lentils, and drizzled with green basil oil. Gorgeous! Yes! But totally inedible. The lentils were uncooked. The salmon over cooked and dry. The... More

Have stayed here two times. First time brought our little parrot and got relegated to a "pets only" rustic cabin rather than the more updated and comfortable room we reserved. We didn't think a bird in a cage would downgrade us but it did. The next trip we stayed in one of the more updated rooms, albeit a little musty... More

We had lunch here twice and it was nice but not memorable. The open-face crab sandwich was so bland and disappointing! The staff was nice, though the service was on the slow side after the meal and in getting the bill. Pricey and not quite up to snuff. Nice views and ambience.

Three 75 yr old couples planned a trip to Olympic National Park for over a year including reservations at Lake Crescent Lodge reconfirmed by phone and email two days prior to arrival. On the day of arrival, we were informed they were cancelled "due to overbooking". After much discussion, two couples were put up in second rate motels in Port... More
