We found out quickly there are not many restaurants to choose from in the area we were staying in (Alta Crystal Resort). We chose the Alpine Inn restaurant because it was close enough and wanted to get a view of the gondola for a future expedition. It was virtually a ghost town. It seems (at least when we were there)... More

We visited after a hike and ride up the gondola with dogs- food was great - staff was super! They were patio pet friendly. Desert was delicious - who can resist a brownie Alamodome?

Was impressed with the number of Bavarian-inspired dishes offered during lunch and dinner. Quality is higher than expected (given it's semi-remote location) and both meals didn't disappoint. The Breakfast buffet was definitely filling and had a more than reasonable selection to choose from. And was kept well-stocked for a hungry breakfast crowd. It's located in a wing of a very... More

This is the lone sit-down restaurant at the Crystal Mountain Resort, but fortunately it is a keeper. My 18- and 21-y olds and I sat down on a Friday after skiing and enjoyed our meal from a window table as the sun set on the adjacent conifer-studded slopes. Service was extremely attentive and friendly. We started with bruschetta which disappeared... More

A good friendly pub where you can enjoy a few beers and some pub grub. We shared a plate of nachos, hot spicy and delicious, and could not make our way to the bottom of the plate. Friendly barman, jovial and noisy clientele, good beer, and probably a good place to find out what is happening on the mountain. Worth... More

My wife and I were excited about spending a weekend at Crystal mountain. We had not been there in several years. We were bummed about the dining situation. They had a very limited menu and I had the wienersnitzle, which was not horrible, but that is hard to mess up too bad. My wife had a pasta she thought was... More

While staying at Crystal Mountain for a couple of nights on a ski trip, our room booking came with a free buffet breakfast at the Alpine Inn. After the first morning, we opted to pay for breakfast at the day lodge because the buffet breakfast was SO bad. The worst part was that the eggs, sausage, and hash browns were... More

We stayed at the Alpine Inn and ate two dinners and two breakfasts here. Given you are at a ski resort, on the cost scale, it's Seattle-type prices, not surprising to me. The food we had (salads, soups, fish entree, dessert) were well prepared and tasty. We did not try the German cuisine. The ambiance is "Alpine" (though the evening... More

Predatory pricing due to the fact there's only one other establishment serving food (the pub downstairs). The drive into town is 45 mins away. So, if you're staying overnight and have vouchers for $20 for dinner, count on spending another $10 for something as basic as a piece of deep fried battered meat (i.e. weiner schnitzel)

Friendly efficient staff and wait people. Delicious home made food, with an European flare. I love the view outside watching it snow.
