We visited in the days just after the park opened in May 2016. We camped in remote places along the rim (look to my other North Rim review for info) but we also visited the main park areas one day. When we arrived at the main park lodge we decided to have a drink on the deck. Interestingly enough though... More

I had the breakfast or lunch buffet on each of my three days at the North Rim. I was very satisfied with the quality and variety of selections available—meats, vegetables, and yes, bread. Services, too, was friendly, even with my buffet meals. I have visited around 20 US national park lodges and the food at most of them is pretty... More

We were at the north rim for 6 days and ate breakfast and dinner most of those days in the lodge dining room. There were other options, but why not enjoy the best food while surrounded by breathtaking canyon vistas and waited on by excellent staff? After getting up before dawn and hiking out the Bright Angel Point trail for... More

Ask for a table by the window for awesome canyon views while dining. I had the Duck Breast and it was amazing. Best I have ever had. Also had the house wine which is a red California wine and it was excellent.

The portions at the lodge restaurant are huge. It is made for people doing the rim-to-rim hike. I found that I was surprised how good the food was for a remote lodge. They have been doing this for a while. Would encourage making reservations.

With only one table service style restaurant in the area our expectations were low but it was truly excellent dining! We have dined here several times and look forward to going back. The giant window in the dining room looks right into the Grand Canyon so the view is stunning and sunsets are especially nice. During the dinner hour they... More

I had a great time at the north rim. The lodge dinning room had great food. Great costumer services and awesome view of the grand canyon while eating your meal. And next to the dinning room is the sitting area where you could sit outside or inside and enjoy the view.

We had dinner on two nights at the lodge restaurant and were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of food. The menus at Bryce and Grand Canyon seem to be very similar so we were anticipating disappointment after our meal at Bryce. Not so! We sampled black bean and rice soup, salsa dip and chips, bison steak and delicious asparagus and... More

Buffet was expensive, but not very good. Limited choices. School cafeteria seating. Breakfast was okay except for nasty waitress.

Such a cute flair for a restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Tourist prices but great service and good food.
