Ate there yesterday with my wife and daughter and was disappointed. Waiter brought our food and drinks out in a timely manner but was definitely not friendly. We got two New York steaks and a ribeye. To be fair, they were properly seasoned but were...cheap, fatty cuts of meat that we could barely cut through. Mashed potatoes and brown gravy were gross and didn't taste fresh. The gravy was definitely from a can and not house made. Green beens were also well seasoned but underdone. Apple crisp and lava cake was excellent snd the only saving grace of this crappy overpriced $220 lunch. Save your $$More

We arrived an hour after opening and l ordered the rib-eye. They were all out! I have never gone to Ruth Chris have or Outback for that matter, and tell me they have run out of a top seller, ribeye! So l ordered the $46...sirloin. It was so tough l could hardly cut it with my steak knife let alone chew it. The mashed potatoes were good. The asparagus was very tuff but l managed to eat the tips. My husband ordered the shaved ribeye sandwich (maybe that is why they ran out of ribeye- they use it for their sandwiches) He reported it as very bland but did say the horseradish was good and helped. The black bean soup very spicy and good. My salad was very large mainly mixed greens (from a bag) with a few tomatoes and cucumbers. The dessert of apple crisp was good. The bill was over $110. I am giving this restaurant a 2 instead of a 0 because the waitress was very nice. She was extremely busy but when she came with the check she could see l hadn’t eaten the steak. She offered to get me something else, but by we all know what happens when you send food back in the kitchen. I definitely would not recommend this restaurant.More

My wife and I had the smoked seafood & cheese dip appetizer and the prime rib dinner with cheesecake for dessert. The appetizer was not particularly to our liking just too salty and too fishy. The prime rib ordered medium came out medium well. The...cheesecake was cheesecake. Nothing special. Two glasses of wine and a tip for $106, the atmosphere is more like a Denny’s diner. The staff was courteous, but gave the impression they really did not want to be there. For a good meal and some atmosphere the restaurant at the El Tovar is the place to go.More

Definitely not as advertised. Sorely in need of upgrades and staff training. Should also update website info. Reserved weeks in advance and took supposedly the only available reservation left on my Sweetheart’s birthday. Did get a table with a view as the place was only...40% occupied. Check in staff assured me they had a special ‘something’ in honor of the birthday. Never happened. Food was more Diner quality and served/presented with indifference by the server. I should have known better when I had to exchange the dirty silverware.More

Reserved a table here for for our wedding anniversary dinner. Ordered the tamale dinner which was okay, and a $50 NY strip steak which was excessively fat and gristle. Not a quality cut at all. That, and indifferent staff attitudes ruined our expensive anniversary dining...experience. SKIP IT.More

We didn’t have a reservation and only had a 10 min wait to be seated for dinner. We weee able to have a drink while waiting. The dining room has. Beautiful view of the Grand Canyon rim! We had the salmon and the tamales. Both...were delicious. Our waiter was very friendly and came back to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Very nice experience!More

I reserved a table a month in advance and was looking forward to having dinner here for our 2nd night at the Grand Canyon. I think we had the same waiter some of the other reviewers described. (Looking at you, 40ish blonde dude with long...hair). He wasn’t a good waiter, didn’t bother to mention the specials, opened the conversation with “we’re out of bison and chopped steak “ rather than “hello and welcome to the Arizona Steakhouse…” The food was okay, I thought the tamales were good and the turkey wrap was fine, if overpriced. Our waiter didn’t offer up the dessert menu or coffee after the meal. I was expecting the place to have a waiting line out the door but it was only 1/2 full and we were there at prime dinner time. This place could be so much better if they amped up the decor, taught the wait staff a few basics and had a terrace for outdoor dining. Many of the same items on the El Tovar dinner menu were on this one, and the ambience and service was so much better there so I recommend skipping Arizona Steakhouse and have all your meals there instead.More

We ate at the Arizona Steakhouse because it was complimentary with our tour. Our group was limited to 6 people for two sittings over two days. The service was acceptable from the waiter, with a “hocker” hanging out of his nose, but there was little...enthusiasm with the service. We had the Southwestern Caesar Salad ($14) and the NY Strip ($47). No complaints with the taste of the food but I feel sorry for the poor folks paying the price. We drank water but alcohol is pricy. Get ready to drop $120-$180 if you’re a paying patron. Views are nice but there is no atmosphere here.More

Arizona Steakhouse was out of almost all of the menu! The waiter was rude & unapologetic about the situation. He did let an adult order off the kid's menu but served an extremely rare burger...but he never asked how I'd like it....which would have been...cooked! Try the other restaurants before going here!More

Horrible service and food. Spent 2 hours waiting on food when restaurant was only moderately busy. We had to ask for silverware, water refills and plates for the bread. Bartender came out of bar to remind waiter that our drinks had been sitting at the...bar. When we caught the manager and asked why people who came in 30 minutes after us were being served before us he had trouble explaining. They then rushed my medium steak to compensate and it was served rare. All in all it was a horrible dining experience for us except for the bartender who seemed to be the only person who knew what he was doing.More

Food was good but we opted to share the southwest Cesar salad and then each had the tortilla soup as we really did not want to pay $54 per meal and they were out of the bison steak anyway . Service was excellent.

We came before peak season, 3/11/23, with two picky teenage girls. Service was excellent, contrary to some of the other reviews on TripAdvisor. Food came out very quickly, Kristofer from Massachusetts was super friendly. The food was okay, not nearly as bad as some of...the reviews. I had the salmon, it was totally fine. My Wife had the black bean soup, and a salad, both fine. Kids had the tofu bowl, and the blt with fries, both good. We are not especially picky eaters, but we had a very satisfying meal, in the park, which is quite limited in its dining options.More

This was a very poor meal. The title of the review sums it up. We had to send the tamale back since it was covered in some type of congealed tomato sauce. Our waitress didn’t seem surprised and she kindly removed it from the bill....The veggies that came with the steak were over cooked and some were hot and some where cold. Maybe they cook them in advance and microwave them? Given the few options available at the hotels in the park, we were not expecting anything close to gourmet food, but this really disappointed. Next time we will plan further in advance and try El Tovar’s dining room or just go to one of the burger or pizza places. On the plus side, we had a couple very good cocktails and the waitress was nice.More
