WE LOVE THIS PLACE and were disappointed to learn they could not get enough staff to run all the restaurants in the park. We intend to return next year, always a great place to eat. Our tradition is to hike out of the canyon and...have dinner here the first night. We will be back.More

Closed, repeat the place is closed! Tripadvisor said it was open, however we drove out this evening and it was not open. Might wanna call before you head out there.

Arizona Room, like many South Rim restaurants, are still closed due to Covid. I understand the need to be safe, but closing ALL of the mid-range restaurants leaves guests to choose between pre-made sandwiches, food court, frozen pizza or top-priced El Tovar. An option or...two in the mid-range would widen the variety of options significantly.More

Although there weren't many people in the restaurant, we had to wait around 30 minutes. I assume this was because they didn't have enough staff to serve people. They had run out of almost all of the entrees, so options were limited. My daughter and...I got the spicy chicken breast, and it was about as plain a piece of chicken as I have eaten in a long time. It did have a spoonful of something on it, but it didn't salvage the overall lack of seasoning. It certainly was not spicy. Our server was nice, and you could see the canyon during the day possibly, but certainly not at night, which is when we were there.More

We enjoyed our meal at the Arizona Room which we tried as an alternative to El Tovar. My boyfriends "smaller" 8 oz Prime Rib turned out to be huge piece of meat but it was delicious. It was noisy with a huge group of very...well mannered children and parents as part of a tour group but the staff handled everything with great skill and were very polite.More

I have to admit my expectations were not high, but I was happily surprised with the quality of our meal! The wait staff was efficient and pleasant, and the pork chop was fantastic!

This establishment, formerly The Arizona Room, now "The Arizona Steakhouse," has been transformed into a limited-menu "steak house." With that in mind, and with the prices they charge, you'd think they would serve top-quality beef. My husband and I each ordered the $38.00 filet mignon....While the meat was cooked as ordered and flavorful, the quality was less than desired, i.e, the meat was chewey. Hindsight....we should have sent the meal back to the kitchen. We, however, chalked it up to "bad luck at this restaurant!" and soldiered on. We will not eat here again. For exactly what we spent here, we dined at the El Tovar and had a memorable meal. Repeat: We will not eat here again.More

We ate lunches here twice; once upon our arrival to the Grand Canyon Village, and once, just prior to our departure. Both meals were very enjoyable. The facility is clean and well-maintained. Being mid-afternoon, the restaurant was not overly crowded. We sat by the window...both times (waiting a few minutes the second time, until a table became available). The views certainly enhanced the dining experience. Our servers, Rocky and Michael, were both friendly and attentive. Between the two meals, we tried both the prime and Angus burgers, the steak frittes, baked potato soup, Ceasar salad, a brownie and the Grand Canyon ice-cream. Everything was quite good; with the steak frittes and baked potato soup being particularly tasty. Both the food and the views, would warrant our return; if we again visit the area.More

Thank you for your question. All entrees at the Arizona Room are available in kid-sized portions. Hope this helps!
