This is another little spot to stop and view the canyon but also go in the tower. The stairs are narrow and it winds around but its great to go up in it and look around. Some history items in the tower you can look at and read. We went in the trading post and di get something to drink... More

Extremely busy when we were there, but the food was good, and the prices were not off the wall. They have picnic tables outside, and that was very welcome.

Rushed here late in the afternoon and glad we did. We were able to get into the Watchtower just before it closed and I am very happy we came late in the afternoon. The views were amazing and late in the afternoon we were able to see all the shadows across the canyon that added great texture to the landscape.... More

Great history along with scenic views up and down the canyon. However there were several people there on a super warm day.

This place is surprisingly good and has good prices. Great for lunch during your visit to South Grand Canyon. You can get a souvenir cup with soda for $1.99...what a deal

This is really worth going out to see. The inside was amazing ( and it's pretty stunning outside and incredible views all around. ) Circles of stone take you upwards and the walls are covered with North American Indian designs. This is a place not to be missed and the food in the cafe was really good and lots of... More

This tourist area has a great little cafeteria and a great tower to tour. The views are amazing from this point, giving you a look down to the river as well. Get ready for your selfie from this point

On our trip to Grand Canyon National Park in April 2016, we visited the Desert View Watchtower and stopped at a nearby small building that housed the Desert View Trading Post, Gift Shop and Snack Bar. The snack bar’s indoor dining area has only about 15 seats. The snack bar has a small seating area, with about two or three... More

Great views of the canyon and learning about Hopi interaction with the creation of the tower. The stairs are narrow, but that adds to the charm. You won't regret the view.

The best fast food among several we tried in the Park. Many choices are offered. From salad, pizza to hotdog which are freshly made are tasty. When you sit outdoor, you can have a nice view of the Tower as well. Better than expected!
