Okay, the beer is good and the bar tend was fun and witty. Pretty smart guy who could hold a conversation about Teddy Roosevelt. There is no view of the canyon though and the pizza looks like the kind you'd get from a gas station. The reason you stop here (and yes there is a reason to stop here) is... More

Here at the Roughrider Saloon you can get cocktails TO GO, and get in out of the sun. In the morning, then, you can avoid the long breakfast lines and high prices inside the lodge by choosing awesome coffee and lots of different fresh-baked pastries inside this same saloon. That's what we did, and it was just sufficient to get... More

Stopped there twice for morning coffee during 4th of july weekend 2016. The coffee was really surprisingly good. Coffee refills are $0.85 They also had fresh bananas as well as muffins, cinnamon rolls etc. The breakfast burritos had about 2 oz of fillings..the tortilla weighed more than the filling. not even one complete egg. so..stay away from those... Never had... More

In the morning they are supposed to serve basic breakfast pastries, but when we were there they were out of almost everything. We were looking forward to tucking into some of the blueberry muffins or cinnamon rolls. Um.... nope. They were out of these at 7:30 in the morning. Only scones, bagels & egg burritos. On top of that there... More

At the North Rim Lodge. Good, small, basic bar. Service a little slow when we were there. Prices a bit high.

The beer was good and cold at night and the coffee was good and hot in the mornings. We had breakfast burritos in the mornings we were there since we wanted to hike early. They were terrible. If you have time, eat the breakfast buffet in the dining room.

We visited the North Rim for 4 days when it opened for the season in the middle of May and this is where we got our coffee to help us wake up and warm up There appeared to be a bit of a learning curve on our first visit since we were among their very first customers this year and... More

We visited the saloon twice during a one-night stay at the North Rim. We got 2 ice-cold beers on one visit, and 2 bagels and coffee on another visit. Although the service wasn't particularly friendly, we sure appreciated the lower cost of food/drinks here, as compared to the dining room. If we return to the North Rim, we'll be eating... More

Setting is excellent, but the drinks waaaay watered down and the staff glaringly unengaging. Good enough place to end the day with a beer, and prices are okay.

We were starving after visiting the North Rim. We chose the Roughrider Saloon because it had pizza immediately available. The quality and taster were quite good, even though it was pizza that was under a heat lamp waiting for someone to eat it.
