Spectacular setting in a beautiful old hotel. Service was decent but sat with a view of the parking lot. Excellent buffalo steak but appetizer was not. Good (spin on caprese salad). Dessert was not worth the calories - creme brûlée. Overpriced overall.

Ate dinner here the night before hike down to phantom ranch. The hostess and waiter were doing their job. Not overly friendly but pleasant enough. I ordered the el Tovar chicken which was good but only had about a 1/4 cup spaghetti so I thought...More

Really good service in this very old lodge in the center of Grand Canyon Village. Reservations are a must--an earlier one may score you a window table with a view of the canyon rim. The food was very good with a selection of classic appetizers...More

We went right after sunrise for breakfast. The breakfast portions are HUGE. They will serve half portions. Service was great. Request a table by the window. We had table 17. Watched an elk graze right outside the window with amazing morning views of the Grand...More

Service is fine and the food is fine. There is a whole lot of just fine going on. The cinnamon roll at breakfast is excellent, especially when warm.

We were here the day before the 4th of July. What a discovery. As a European you only see these kind of restaurants in films. Typical American, as well as the place itself as the service. Very old school but also very good. We had...More

Made reservations as early as we could and were pleased to be seated in a window table on the rim. But the service was really disappointing and our incredibly surly waiter put a damper on this special meal. He wasn't just rude, he was positively...More

There isn't one. We were wearing shorts and t shirts. Had backpacks and a cup of coffee with us. We were lucky and got a table right away, but they do take reservations, which I recommend. It filled up quickly. Enjoy. You'll... More

There's a view of the rim from the restaurant. It is a nice view but limited to the tables near the window. Thus, if you sit elsewhere in this large establishment you will not have a view of the Canyon.
