We ate in the dining room for dinner and breakfast. The food was good (not great) & had some interesting flairs-like a spicy hollandaise sauce on eggs benedict and the same sauce drizzled over (cubed, not shredded) prime rib hash. The house special cinnamon roll is as big as the plate & very good, we shared 1 and there was... More

Visited the National Park with my mother, and we had dinner in the El Tovar Restaurant. Menu offered a variety of options, including several game dishes. I gave the stuffed grouse a try, and it was quite good! Mom had a more standard chicken meal, which was also good. Staff was helpful in pairing a wine with the grouse, and... More

This restaurant is set in quite a grandiose dining hall in a historic lodge on the South Rim. The ambience is superb. Dinner usually needs a booking, but we were lucky to get a table without one, as there was a cancellation. The lodge and the restaurant were very well decorated as it was the day after Christmas. The menu... More

We had lunch here and loved the view over the canyon! The food was good, as well! I recommend visiting while there is still daylight, to take in the full benefit of the location. Inside and outside dining is offered.

Stopped here after a long hike down into the Canyon. Setting is cool, with interesting mural and history included in the menu. Food was only ok, especially given the price. I wouldn't go back. had the tamale and salmon, they were fine, but neither were flavorful. Friends pork chop was similarly bland.

I struggled with the number of stars for this place. It is a fancy place, very beautiful and the atmosphere is amazing. The menu selection was limited and starting at $20 per entree. The service was very good. What I was not very happy with was the taste of my dish, and for it's price i thought it was rather... More

While touring the Grand Canyon, we were able to get a reservation for dinner, and the El Tovar Lodge Dining Room did not disappoint. Service was first-rate (thank you, Michael) and very enjoyable, and my roast duck was terrific. The dining room is beautiful as well. There's also not a stuffy dress code here - we came in fresh off... More

Restaurant is walk in for breakfast and lunch and reservations for supper which I would highly suggest. We didn't get to eat supper here for that reason and opted to go to other restaurant just a 5 min walk from our hotel. I did eat breakfast here and enjoyed the view and meal greatly. Try to get a table on... More

We had breakfast at El Tovar two days in a row after watching the Grand Canyon sunrise. Both times we were fortunate to have tables overlooking the view. One of the mornings we had a short wait, the system was well organised with a pager so we were able to have a look around the beautifully seasonally decorated lobby and... More

Made a reservation for New Years day, in anticipation of the crowd. We arrived and enjoyed our short wait in the lovely lounge. Our meal was delicious and the quail was perfectly deboned to maximize the available meat. Our salad, appetizer, drinks, and mains were well portioned to satisfy after a long day of hiking along the snow covered rim.
