We stayed at the neighboring hotel for 3 days and had the opportunity to eat here for breakfast and dinner several times. Each time, we received impeccable service, everyone did their job very well. It felt like true old school service. With exception of the...More

Had to get a reservation 30 days in advance because heard this was a great restaurant. Very bad quality of food and absolutely no presentation. Could have done better myself at home. I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Grand Canyon.

Decently priced food ($10-15) with nice staff. Not all seats have a view but there are some available.

Great breakfast at a reseasonable price. Dinners are pricier but more of a fine restaurant. Food is prepared well.

We had both lunch and dinner here while touring the Grand Canyon for 2 days. Lunch was definitely better. Nice atmosphere and nice views, if you can get a table close to the windows (we were told that they do not take requests for this)....More

We have been on a road trip for the last week. This place was the absolutely best restaurant we are in during that time. It is a nostalgic place going back over 100 years. The servers are knowledgeable and professional. The food was outstanding. My...More

I love fish and my wife loves quiche. We were able to enjoy both during a relaxing and fully enjoyable breakfast at El Tovar Lodge. The blackened trout with poached eggs was superb. Best food at Grand Canyon National Park South Rim.

We chose this restaurant for lunch during our visit of the Grand Canyon. The hotel is a landmark and the restaurant is the perfect location to have a quiet lunch away from the tourist mass during summer months. There is a nice lunch menu and...More

Thank you Robert, our server, who added to our wonderful experience by his professional service. Our meal was excellent, the lamb chop I ordered was actually four pieces cut from a rack of lamb, delicious although the lentils were crunchy I would have preferred them...More

The dining room is beautiful. The service was slow, but not as slow as elsewhere on the south rim. The coffee seasoning on the sirloin was too heavy. The salmon did not have enough flavoring...very little taste. The Ringtale running across the air conditioning vent...More

I have seen reviews that say El Tovar dining room has a great view of the Canyon, and other reviews that say it does not. I am confused by the contradictions in the reviews. I would like to make a dinner reservation at a restaurant that has a great view of the Canyon from the restaurant. Which restaurant should I choose? Thank you.

El Tovar Dining Room, the Arizona Room and Bright Angel Restaurant all have windows to the rim side. If space is available you will be seated there. The view is what it is....there's the Rim Trail between said windows and... More
