Lamb melted off the bone, steak was delightful. Our trip was met with disapointing food after another bad meal...and then we ate here! it made all the other bad meals just melt away! and the view is spectacular! worth the wait.

The food was good but when staying multiple days in the park the limited menu can be difficult to handle. Having stayed in many different National Parks, this is the norm in all the parks. Some things on the menu were a little strange and not at all tasty like barley pilaf. However, the prime rib and pasta were very... More

Had dinner and breakfast here. Good variety of dinner items to choose from. Service was ok. Food was good. Had the full (grand?) buffet, which had a great selection, for breakfast. Good eggs, biscuits and gravy, and waffles with maple syrup.

This is a nice place for lunch. Views are fantastic, service excellent, food is good. I had the Iceberg Burger [hamburger], it was cooked just perfect and on a great tasting bun. My husband had the Made Right Loose Meat Elk Sandwich and it was amazingly delicious. He always likes to try the "wild" stuff on the menu; I like... More

The hotel is being renovated so the restaurant is in a temporary space. In spite of this everything was excellent. Fresh, local foods well prepared.

We had a very nice lunch with a beautiful view. Service was very good and the restaurant was very clean. I would recommend it as a lunch stop when traveling up to Waterton park.

We have just been to 4 national park lodges and this one had the best food. Montana trout was good - as was prime rib. No complaints with service, either. Great view, if you can get seated by the window.

Had dinner here and a window seat. Service was great, real friendly and helpful. Food was pricey but the restaurant is meant to be high end. Though most people come in dressed like slobs. Several options of local cuisine. Had the buffet breakfast here too. That was amazing. So many choices. Was a great way to fill up before a... More

We actually ate al 3 meals here, and though it is a Park Service restaurant, the food was quite good. The staff was still training, since they had just recently opened for this season, but they were friendly and did their best. We enjoyed our stay here.

The Ptarmigan Dining Room has had major renovations and looks very authentic and rustic. Be advised that they don't accept reservations, it's first come, first served. People were lining up a half hour before if opened for dinner to get a window table, which you absolutely want! We snagged the very last table at the very end of the restaurant,... More
