I believe that this is the finest dining in Denali, tucked off the highway you'll find a quaint small restaurant with eager staff waiting to give you a great dining experience. I suggest making a reservation, this place fills up quickly! Everything including the soda and the icecream is homemade. I had the blackened cod and my friend had the... More

We enjoyed our meal here, nice place, very popular. Make a reservation, pricey but worth it. A bit hidden off the main road.

There is a neat little sitting area outside by a firepit and water running behind it. The food melts in your mouth and has excellent flavor. The desserts look DELICIOUS however I was watching my weight but my aunt had a cinnamon roll to go and she said it was delicious as well. Service was again excellent. Alaskan service can't... More

Coming from a food town like New Orleans, we expect a great meal every time we go to a restaurant. We were not disappointed with 229 Parks. There was a very large party seated after us and we were a little concerned if this would affect our service and quality, but it did not. This was an amazing meal from... More

My husband and I had a truly fabulous dinner at this lovely restaurant. Service was top notch. Wine was perfect, as was beer selection. The food was nothing short of exquisite! The salad was an exciting medley of delicious flavors. The entrees were delicious, hot and perfect! The dessert which we barely had room for could not have been omitted.... More

We had dinner at this restaurant. Excellent, very interesting menu, good ambiance. Portions are on the smaller side, it is not a burger and fries place, but was enough for us . I had crab staffed ravioli and it was very good. Very good selection for the desert. Service was fast and good. We came a little bit earlier, so... More

I went with great expectations of 229 parks being one of the best restaurants in Alaska. Sadly I was disappointed with slow service; One hour from order to food delivery, my scallops were over cooked and tough and the portions were very small. Based on the other reviews many we just caught them on a bad night, I hope so!... More

We are from San Francisco Bay Area. This was by far our best dining experience in Alsska during our 15 day tour. It was also one of our most reasonable dining experiences in this state We went to trouble to meet chef, Laura Cole. She was very personable and her goal is to provide excellent food at a reasonable price... More

This restaurant is a hidden gem , 10 miles from Denali National Park. Absolutely delightful menu . The bread is house made with a herb butter. Our salad was radicchio, nectarine, pecan, blue cheese dressing. Our main meal was black cod lightly smoked with Mizo, 5 spice on top of horseradish creme and red potatoes. The flavors were unique and... More

Great wine list. Creative menu...reindeer pizza, Alaskan scallops, yellow beets as an appetizer (they were great)!!! Excellent bottle of Bordeaux, and our server was charming. ( Forgot her name, wine was good, I said that!). I had the King Salmon, in season, also great.
