Enjoyed two breakfasts and lattes at the Black Bear Coffee House. Awesome biscuits. I particularly enjoyed their biscuit breakfast sandwich. Best coffee in Glitter Gulch.

We had lunch here during a tour bus stop. The Black Bear had been recommended to us. It was pricey, but I understand food is more expensive in Alaska and there are only a few months to make a profit. The pulled pork sandwich was excellent according to one person in our party. Those that had the steak fajita sandwich chewed... More

For being just outside the park this place was very reasonable for price. Had a pulled pork sandwich that came with a cup of Mac & cheese for 13.00. With Alaska prices was not expecting the side. The sandwich was very good. 2 other people in my group had full orders of the Mac and cheese. All of us found... More

Plenty of lox and bagels here (although they might not know what lox is, it is smoked salmon here). Interesting coffee drinks/shakes are featured. Most are over $7, but once per vacation seems fair. Small dining room.

This cozy little place is a gem if you're looking for a good cup of coffee and a super breakfast. It's small so if the weather is bad seating can be tight. With good weather there's outdoor seating. We had coffee and a breakfast sandwich which was plenty to fill us up for the first part of the day. It's... More

We stopped for lunch based on the recommendation of a batista in Fairbanks. We didn't get any coffee, but we could tell that they take coffee seriously. The two men in my group got burritos and liked them a lot. They used some hot sauce to kick them up a little. I got the pulled pork sandwich with a side... More

I'm picky about my coffee. Maybe it's the Seattle culture that's done it to me. I'm often left disappointed when ordering coffee on vacation, but Black Bear had me coming back for more. What was truly surprising is that the coffee wasn't even the best part about Black Bear -- Absolutely do not miss out on ordering one of the... More

This was the best coffee in Denali. We did have a hiccup with the rice bowl dish. The "brown rice" was barely cooked. When we notified an employee, he stated that's how brown rice is supposed to taste. I am from Austin...honey, I know how brown rice cooked correctly is supposed to taste.

Walked down the hill from our hotel for breakfast before a guided hike in Denali National Park. Great coffee and a filling breakfast at a reasonable price (for a tourist area in AK in mid-summer)

This is the ONLY good coffee in Denali. They use Alaskan roasted beans and pull a perfect espresso shot. The food is healthy and original. Don't miss Black Bear on your Alaskan vacation!
