About
Our landmark bar and grill's Alaskan menu has something for everyone. While we get many compliments on our signature Cedar Plank Salmon, famous Halibut Tacos, full pound split Crab Legs and our Beer Battered Halibut; many consider our steaks, burgers and salads to be the best in the area. Offering nightly entertainment, The Bake is the biggest hub for nightlife in Denali. Open since 1984, The Bake has been celebrating life in Denali for 30 years.

Nothing worse than spending money on something you don't enjoy! Lesson learned (again)! Come here for a beer and maybe a photo op. Leave when you're hungry and eat anywhere else. Odds are good that whatever else you choose will be better than our lunch...More

We had a large group and they were able to seat us with a reservation. We enjoyed the food and drinks. They had a great selection of tequila and we could celebrate Margarita Day.

We ate here with extended family (12 total) and asked for seating at 1 table. They said they could accomodate, however they put us at 2 tables. It was pretty busy, so we were happy to get seated right away. Service was a little slow,...More

This joint was across the street from our hotel. We walked over and had the best Fish & Chips of our entire Alaska trip! They were halibut and waffle fries. Topped off with local craft beer from 49th State. This was literally closing day for...More

I was told you “have to” go here, which is probably true as it’s likely better than most places in Glitter Gulch. It was good, not great, somewhat overpriced. All the staff seemed to be Eastern European for some reason. They must get sick of...More

You walk in and you feel like you have entered an old amusement park gravity house. The door frames are crooked. The walls and ceilings look as if they are going to collapse. Some I am sure is an optical illusion, but who knows. The...More

Down home food in a place that is a local favorite. What permafrost has done here is amazing. We had salmon prepared with great skill.

Visited Denali at the end of July......What a beautiful state.....I loved it. We ate at the Salmon Bake one evening. The building looks like it is going to implode....the floors are all uneven and sloped. Very interesting decor inside.....Very fun....and food was delish.

Despite the name, I went for the crab! I was able to get 1lbs of Alaskan King Crab for $39, you can't beat that! The atmosphere had a very rustic Alaskan feel and the staff was very friendly......

First, I'm pretty positive about local places when we are traveling. We unwittingly sat down to dinner on their last night of operation for the season. They were quite busy and that encouraged us until the waitress let us know that they were out of...More
