The view is truly "tree-top" and the food is just outstanding - in portions that you will need a take home box for. The owner is the cook. She is personable, clearly enjoys her patrons, and she is a phenomenal cook! This is a "cannot-miss" eatery!

Had a thoroughly enjoyable evening with family party of 9 visiting Denali Park. Every dish was delightful and service was not only excellent but fun. The owner and our waitress both joke with us and we all just had a great time! The food was so good, several of us were trying to figure out how we could come back... More

My husband and I have been driving past The Perch restaurant near Denali National Park for longer than I care to say. Tonight we are staying in Cantwell and decided to drive the 14 miles to The Perch for dinner. Leaving the highway, you are directed to follow the moose (cute little wooden cut-outs guiding traffic up the winding quarter... More

I came here for dinner because I live in the cabin. I am not a fan of the cabin but the food was great here. My kids finished their linguine with chowder source in seconds. My wife had Alaska Salmon and loves her order. My grilled trout also very well cooked. If not because the service is just about average,... More

We dined at the Perch on our last night in Denali. Like most places we found in the area, entrees are not inexpensive. However, it is for the most part, excellent. The kitchen is open, so you can see your food being prepared. Service was great and the views are excellent. There is a family atmosphere. It is family friendly,... More

The restaurant was a nice home-style place with a nice desk and gorgeous views. Food was good but be aware it is not inexpensive. People were friendly and welcoming. You can see and smell the cooking from the dining area.

7 people in my group on this trip and all of our food was amazing! Chicken was juicy, vegetables were fresh, food was cooked to perfection. The servers are very nice and helpful. The food is cooked in the same room as dining which was a cool twist. The chefs are great! They definitely know what they're doing. The atmosphere... More

Unbelievable! The food. The atmosphere. The experience. It's family owned, for generations. You can tell. We were very fortunate to find this spot, away from the packs of other tourists visiting Denali. It's about 8 miles away. When we called, they offered a shuttle service if we had a group of 6 or more. Our group of 10 were promptly... More

I got back to our hotel after a day of activities, double checked on TA that the general opinion of this restaurant is good and excitedly headed out of our way for dinner. Wow, should of checked the bad reviews as our experience matched those! It was the worst meal of our month in Alaska, and disappointing because I use... More

Stopped by for dinner. Wonderful views, good service, good fine dining cuisine. Adequate wine list and a small bar for mixed drinks. Tried the pan fried rainbow trout which was quite good. Worth the high prices for the view and food.

Description
The Perch offers you cozy, private cabins, hotel rooms and lodging near Denali National Park. Tucked into the woods and bordered by pristine Carlo Creek, our cabins offer you an Alaskan experience that is truly unique.Tree-top dining at the Perch Restaurant is a wonderful way to begin and end your day. The restaurant is “perched” atop a gravel moraine left by a glacier. Each of our 13 bay windows has a spectacular view of the Alaska range and it's many glaciers. Weather permitting, you can dine on our large deck, or just sit out in the sun and enjoy a cocktail while you wait for dinner.
