We stayed across the way from the buffet...and selection was limited for wehre to go and eat (Ruby's has a sort of monopoly in the area). That said, the food was good and in addition to the buffet, you can order off the menu.
A little on the touristy side, and sort of the only show in town, this place provides decent food and pretty good service. They have a soup and salad bar, but not sure that is a smart move in this Covid era. Someone did do...it and said the soup was clearly out of a Campbell's can. The patty melt was delicious, and their Frito shaped fries (that did not taste like Frito's) were really good. Not a bad place to stop on your way to or from the parks, but don't go out of your way to go there.More
We decided to have dinner at Ruby's after reading on trip advisor that the food was good and that all staff wore masks with tables being social distanced.
Not a single staff member wore a mask and the place was crowded. Thats in the restaurant...and the stores. So we decided to get carryout. The staff was unpleasant and unprofessional. And we were charged an 18% gratuity for very poor minimal service. The menu had some nice entree choices. Sadly The food was mediocre at best.More
We had a group of 7 here for dinner. We didn't do the buffet but ordered instead. Not the greatest food, to say the least. And no Covid compliance that I noticed. There aren't a lot of alternatives nearby, but I'd look elsewhere next time.
We were surprised to find that Ruby's salad bar was open when we went there for lunch and another day for dinner, since COVID was still surging. There was hand sanitizer readily available, so that helped ease my mind.
The lunch was good and the...salad was fresh and abundant. I had salmon at dinner, which was delicious, but the asparagus side was grilled almost completely black and mostly inedible.
But overall, Ruby's was the best of the restaurants we tried while in the Bryce area.More
