We stopped in late in the morning, partway through our visit to Badlands National Park. I opted for breakfast, and my husband had lunch. I enjoyed my pancakes and coffee. It’s not fancy, but the food is fine and the staff is friendly.

This restaurant exemplifies what can happen when you are the only place to eat in the middle of a park. It was not the service but rather the quality of the food: horrendous. Ordered 2 buffalo burgers ...1 rare, 1 medium rare and also a...More

We all had the Indian Tacos! The fry bread was absolute perfection! Who would have thought you would find such a great meal inside the park?? Very clean, very busy place but very nice wait staff.

We wanted a bite to eat for lunch and decided to try this place out. Lots of people there and lots of motorcycles in the parking lot so we knew the wait might be a challenge. Very impressed with the wait staff and busboys who...More

We stopped in to get an evening bite and our waitress was wonderful. Our Indian tacos were yummy and huge, the leftovers made a great late night snack and didn't get soggy in the microwave.

This restaurant is near the Cedar Pass Lodge (cabins) and campground, so it gets a lot of use. Had both a dinner and a breakfast and both were very good, with good service. Particularly liked the pancakes with huckleberry syrup.

After a full morning of hiking we stopped in for lunch. The place was very busy and we got the last available table. It was about 10 before our server made it over to our table. They have a decent beer menu, but were out...More

Stopped in because I read someone raving about the Indian Taco. The place is crowded and I had a short wait for a table. I got the Indian Taco (they also have a veggie version too.) It was good but not mind blowing. Probably would've...More

Our group of 4 (1 adult and 3 kids) wanted a nice meal after driving all day from Denver. Unfortunately, they didn't really have anything for our vegan son except for the salad bar, fruit cup, and french fries (the pasta had egg in it)...More

Description
Located inside historic Cedar Pass Lodge in Badlands National Park we are open seasonally serving visitors breakfast, lunch and dinner from April 15 until October 15. If you don't have time for a sit down meal, the store also sells "Grab N Go" sandwiches, salads and snacks. For years we have been known for serving visitors to the Badlands our authentic Sioux Indian Frybread - homemade. Diners also have a variety of options from fresh soup and salad bar to wraps, salads, chicken, Tatanka dogs, plus locally sourced buffalo and beef. Not only will you find healthy options, we also offer South Dakota made wine, beer and desserts, too, including the official dessert of South Dakota - Kuchen. We truck in SD State University ice cream from the school's dairy farm and creamery in Brookings, SD where they raise cattle and process their own ice cream. It is delicious! We are the only place in the western part of the state to be fortunate enough to have this scrumptious addition for your pleasure! Pleased to be serving our guests during the 2014 season during the following schedule: Apr. 15 - May 24: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm May 25 - Sept. 2: 7:00 Am - 9:00 pm Sept. 3 - Sept. 30: 7:00 Am - 8:00 pm Oct. 1 - Oct. 13: 8:00 Am - 6:00 pm Last seating in the restaurant is 30 minutes prior to Cedar Pass Store closing. Bus Tours Welcome - especially with advance notice!
