we needed a stopping point between Palermo and Cefalu, so found other reviews here and decided to chance it. Unfotunately it was a Monday, so the Castle was closed (the only thing to do here) and after a very hilly, windy road, we were pleased that the meal was as good as others had said. They had lots of pizzas,... More

We discovered this restaurant by accident. The one we originally wanted was closed so we carried on walking for a few minutes towards the castle and there it was. Very nicely surprised. Not overly busy for after 2pm but enough to have a quiet meal and see what the people in the other tables were getting. When I saw the... More

The restaurant is located in the most touristic place of the town, so we didn't expect much of it. But instead we were pleasantly surprised with the most delicious food and good selection of wine. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere: it's build in medieval style, it also features a small terrace. The service is perfect: waiters are nice and... More

We arrived at the castle at 2pm and it is closed for tours from 1-3. This was just steps away from the castle entrance and a nice spot to grab a bite to eat while we waited. We enjoyed the grilled vegetable appetizer. It was cooked to perfection and also great for gluten free! They even had gluten free rolls.... More

Had our first Sicilian meal here. Read the reviews and we weren't disappointed. We had drinks outside whilst we perused the extensive menu. Our drinks came quickly, accompanied with huge and delicious green olives. After select our respective dishes, we sat down inside the restaurant, which was packed on a Sunday night. We shared the rustic antipasti, which was absolutely... More

Tucked below the castle in Caccamo, Sicily is a jewel of a restaurant. We had grilled fish that was fresh from the sea and it was moist and delicious. The desserts are amazing, the cannoli were so good we had seconds. The staff is very friendly and speaks English. The restaurant looks very small from the outside but is good... More

Our favorite restaurant during our stay in Caccamo. Great food, awesome service. It's down a little back alley so a little tricky to find but well worth the effort.

The Baronia couldn't be more ideally located. Inside is a quirky hotchpotch of historic rooms, and if you're lucky with the weather and get to sit outside under the shadow of the castle, it's like a film set. The food doesn't let down the surroundings. You can start with the antipasto plate, which is great, just a little twist to... More
