Called in here for lunch whilst visiting the gold coast and it ended up being the highlight of the whole journey! Greeted at the door by a beautuful and obviously much loved St Bernard and then by some of the friendliest staff i have ever come across.. obviously they love their place of work! The lunch was generous and high... More

I have been visiting this place for years and never get tired of the beautiful view and old world charm of this heritage building. However unfortunately I must agree with other reviews the staff are totally disinterested and the two barmaids that served is simply didn't want to be there. They were unfriendly and very unhelpful when I enquired about... More

This was the best night. The food absolutely superb although the dishes came out too quickly 1st entree followed on too soon by the 2nd entree & so on. That was our only complaint we were in & served all courses in less than 2 hours ie. Egg nog/ mull wine, entrees x2, main, dessert & coffee plus shortbread, too... More

A view to die for (not literally) - gorgeous aspect to the Gold Coast. The food was atrocious - I was attempted to ask if the fish had been reheated from dinner the night before it was so bad. Will go there again for a quiet drink soaking up the ambience but will definitely eat elsewhere.

Arrived at coffee time, asked which cake was available - there was none! after 10 minutes I had to go up to the counter to fetch our coffees to a table outside. worst cappucino and long black imaginable, scummy and cold. What a shame, the views were great, the real life St Bernhard dog fast asleep, but the service and... More

Well.. all eight of us turned up at the restaurant (I and my wife were there for the first time)...and our friend who booked the table 2 weeks earlier tells us that we do not have a table. After some discussion with bar manager...half an hour later and free drinks we got the the table in the main dining room...The... More

Our large group of people were well catered for recently to experience Xmas in July. We were there for lunch and the service was relatively fast and enjoyed by all although the drink prices were a bit expensive. The welcoming St Bernard out the front to greet us was very lovable. Worth a visit and would not hesitate to go... More

The view is awesome. Food was excellent. Service was good and we thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant! Even the St.Bernard seemed happy out the front!

I have fond memories of earlier days at what was a grand old hotel. Whilst the location & views remain utterly spectacular the hotel is in need of a review. The tables and chairs are worn & tired looking. In fact what was quaint has now become shabby. The lunch menu was expensive for the quality of the meals, pub... More
