Great food at good prices with happy staff that make you feel at home. This old world pub place is clean, food is what you order ho and value for money, Staff are happy and friendly. Well worth stopping in for a bite to eat or just a drink.

Tripping over dogs, screaming kids, very poor expensive food ie a couple of slices of boiled ham, 2 fried eggs and a few chips over £10 a few slices of tough, chewy cold lamb, a few thin whole carrots with top and tail still on and a few chips £14 absolute rubbish, never again

Typical English pub with oodles of atmosphere, Great Food and a Fab selection of Beers - if it has one negative (which can't be rectified) it should be bigger

Astounded by some poor reviews preceding mine. We have found it always excellent visiting fairly regularly in recent years, and last night no exception. This pub does the best chips around without fail. Chicken and ham pie delicious (sauce not overly salty like many pub pies either) freshly cooked, piping hot, nice mix of veg to accompany. Tiger beer was... More

Although we visited on a weekday we had to wait one and three quarter hours for food. It wasn't worth the wait, and especially at the inflated prices. Menu choice was very poor indeed: plus to add to that we were met to be told of a list of unavailable items. The table was so sticky it was the worst... More

Go here all the time, top quality selection all round, lovely outside seating area, superb pub! 8 lovely ales on selection, it's a warm hearty pub, classic layout with a nice modern vibe. Service is great too, always had a good experience here.

Visited the Irby Mill today with my family after going a few months ago. It wasn't amazing then but today it was just terrible. Aside from the exceedingly slow service (long wait for starters and then again for mains, even though it wasn't busy) the main problem seemed to be that the chef needed to change his frying oil. The... More

Dear me looking forward to a family meal. At least the family aspect was good sadly the food was the disappointment. Two of us ordered squid and prawn in a tempura style coating the little one had kids meals one being the battered fish. All the fish coatings were over cooked next shade to black I complained and it was... More
