Le cellier is located in the heart of typical village "Volnay". Not frequented by many tourists yet… Food was excellent and service just great. A superb view from the place on vineyard. I recommend.

Located in the heart of Volnay, the cellier is simply a stunning restaurant displaing the beautiful Bourguignon hospitality. We selected the set menuat €30.50, a nice selection of snails, coq au vin, epoisse (local cheese) and tarte tatin. The menu was perfectly executed, presented and delivered. Service was indeed professional and engaging. The wine list showcased the wines from Volnay... More

We are not allergic to fellow tourists but like most, we have this fantasy that somewhere there exists a nice, unstuffy restaurant that has a much higher quotient of locals vs tourists/travelers. Le Cellier is such a place. The food was better than expected, with an emphasis on traditional Burgundian specialties. the wine? Bien sur, this is the place to... More

We stopped here for lunch while on a wine tour. Nice cellar atmosphere and surprising number of locals for a place that is so convenient for wine tourists. They had gluten-free bread for my husband who has celiac disease. Their potatoes are amazing. great place for lunch with good service.

We went with a small group on a wine tour of the area. We enjoyed their escargot as well as their salade paison. Our table shared traditional coq au vin which was good but not fantastic. Desserts were good as was service.

This restaurant serves great traditionally French dishes. There is a great variety of choices on the menu. The €30 menu gives you many tempting and tasty options to choose from. Each course that we had was beautifully presented and delicious. You can sit inside in the wine cellar or outside in the garden. The service was quick and good and... More

This restaurant is housed in what used to be a winery years ago in the village of Volnay. It has a wine cave type feel and look, with subtle lighting. The service was top notch, the food, typical of the region was stellar. We started with a salad with chevre chaud on toasts, then shared Coq au Vin and Oeufs... More

We stopped here on a cycle ride through the vineyards around Beaune. We were dressed for cycling rather than dining but thought we would stop for lunch. After making quite a fuss about our lack of a reservation they found us a table (there were plenty) then proceeded to ignore us for around half an hour despite plenty of nods... More
