Fantastic lunch. All cooked fresh and as good as your mother made it! Lovely cosy traditional pub. Highly recommend. Food a little slow to come out but I don’t mind if it’s amazing food which it was!

Such a shame we enjoyed our Sunday roast but it took 50 minutes for the desert and when we enquired as to the whereabouts of the desert they had forgotten so we gave up. It’s either there’s a staff shortage our lack of staff training...More

This is a small, warm, down-to-earth local pub which serves good hearty food. We had Sunday roasts as it was a Sunday. There were other dishes but they are more limited on a Sunday. I found the service really friendly (all behind the bar and...More

We dined on a very quiet Sunday evening following a day of torrential rain. The owners of the pub are very welcoming and friendly. Despite it being a very quiet evening our food and wine was delicious and fresh. Beautifully cooked.....we unfortunately missed the Sunday...More

My husband and I were very fortunate to spend the past week in Calstock. We sampled the Sunday Roast which was absolutely delicious. Meat tender, Yorkshire pudding to die for and vegetables cooked to perfection. Our week flew by far too quickly but we returned...More

One of our favourite pubs. Sean’s cooking is fantastic. We both had pork medallions with black pudding, apple, asparagus and soft potato, absolutely delicious and very filling. Excellent nibbles (houmus and olives) with soda bread. Worth a visit.,

Cosy, warm and welcoming would describe the ambience. Warm log fires and the friendly attitudes of both the family and members of staff.
