The dishes were amazing. Each had a different flavor. The sauces were superb and the dessert was so good. We had an excellent dinner and the chef deserved the credit. Everything was so delicious, I do not know which to recommend. Just look through some...of the dishes we had. There were lots of vegetables, fish, duck, lamb and all kind of desserts all with fruits. Overall, I think they are pretty health conscious with all the dishes there are always vegetables accompanied. Will recommend it, if you ever drop by Yokohama, Tokyu Bay Hotel.More

This is one of the first innovative Japanese-style French restaurants by a celebrity chef in Japan. I have tasted their dishes years before and they still offer beautiful French dishes with Japanese touch. One of the most known dishes of theirs is “foie gras with...daikon radish.” It is an excellent signature dish of theirs that represents a Japanese style French food. It is worth visiting this restaurant just to eat this dish. Needless to say, the service is also excellent.More

The restaurant is located on the 3rd floor of the hotel with views looking out over the lobby area and to the outside. It's very open and bright. They are having an anniversary celebration so special menus were an option. Set number of courses with...a variety of selections for each course. We had an option to pay for some upgraded items at certain courses for an additional expense. One of them I upgraded was my entree item to beef... this was an additional 20.00 and NOT worth the money spent. It was just 2 thin slices of beef cooked rare. Another negative I have about the restaurant is their lack of wines. You would expect to see a nice selection of wines to choose from, but this is not the case. I think if it had 6 different wines that was the extent of it. This was disappointing as I was looking forward to a nice anniversary dinner with my wife with a nice bottle of wine. Other than the lack of wines, the food was fantastic, and the service was wonderful. A little on the pricier side but very much in-line with this caliber of restaurants in the area. We were NOT disappointed with the overall experience. (JUST THE BEEF UPGRADE AND LACK OF WINE SELECTION)More

Great French restaurant in the heart of Yokohama. Each course surpasses the the one before, finishing with deserts to die for

Had a dinner with my wife at this excellant French restaurant at the Yokohama bay hotel. The ambiance was first class. The setting was romantic. The meal was fabulous. The service was very good. Everything was spot on. Had a wonderful tuna carpacio, foie gras,...duck and Crème brûlée. Absaloutly fabulous meal.More

As a resident of Yokohama, I avoided this restaurant for years presuming them to be overrated and overpriced. But last night I took my girlfriend there for our three-year anniversary, and had a wonderful time - my expectations were easily met, and my opinion of...the restaurant completely changed for the better. The interior is a little too "cute" to be sure, but the tables are separated in a way that ensures romantic intimacy, unlike so many restaurants in Japan where you're forced to have to listen to next-table conversation. The service was outstanding, the staff did their best to make the night enjoyable and special for us. But the best part was - obviously - the food. Our Course Dinner consisted of five dishes and a dessert. Each dish was visually stunning and tasted out of this world. Queen Alice isn't some place you'd want to visit regularly, but I highly recommend it for any special occasions. I will certainly return when a moment presents itself.More

We had dinner in a private dining room...the decor is a little too "pink" and not to my taste but the food was delicious! Great wine selection and every plate that came with the dinner course was fantastic. Foie gras, seafood gratin, steak, etc...and an...ensemble of desserts! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great dinner experience.More

In all of my years of travel I have never had a better meal, everything was outstanding, the seating, the view, the service, the staff and the food. The five course set meal is truly excellent,French with a light Japanese touch. The foie gras with Port wine jelly is as good as...you will ever encounter, same goes for the clam soup and the sauteed foie gras. The lobster is sublime and the final dish (I chose steak) was perfection. The Billecart Salmon Champagne was a good choice too (although I wish they had the rose version). The ice cream dessert looked excellent-I chose not to taste it though. May I suggest that a cheeseboard is added to the dessert menu and maybe add Port to your drinks listing? And show the sorbet (served in between courses) on the fixed menu. In place of Port I had a glass of Belle Glos Pinot Noir as recommended by the manager, the finest wine I have had in thirty years.Sadly I must leave Japan on September 2,so the visit to Queen Alice is probably a one-off occasion. Thanks to all for a truly memorable evening!More

Although it's quite pricey, this restaurant is one of the best fine dining establishments in Yokohama. Their signature lobster dish is to die for, and possibly the best lobster I've had in the 3 years I've lived in Japan, and practically makes the whole course...dining price pay for itself. Service is outstanding, non-smoking, and very quiet and private. 5 stars!More
